Recap! Last weekend was my Trail Trees ‘Zine Release event with @exilebooks ! We got together at Clyde Butcher’s @bigcypressgallery and perused the large format photography inside. Then we met in the back for breakfast and a quick chat about Trail Trees. After that we checked in with Photographer Scott Randolph (who also contributed to the ‘zine) who lead us right into the swamp for a really amazing tour. Once we got back and dried off, we caravaned back East, stopping off at @trailskatepark to check out the ramps and murals. After some snacks under the pavilion, @ottercypress from @love_the_everglades appeared and took us on a walk through the @swampy_meadowscg garden! Wow. What a day. Thanks to everyone who helped, participated, and showed up! The Trail Trees Swamp Walk is officially sold out, but the day is far from over—and everyone is welcome to join us for what comes next.

Spend time at Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery and pick up a copy of Trail Trees, the new zine by Logan Fazio. Around 1:00 p.m., gather at the gallery as the swamp walk participants return, then head together to Trail Skate Park for the afterparty.

You’re also welcome to meet us directly at Trail Skate Park, where we’ll spend the afternoon learning more about trail trees, exploring the Swampy Meadows Community Garden, and hanging out with Logan in a relaxed, community-centered setting.

Skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, and scooters are encouraged—but absolutely not required. Come listen, connect, and be part of the conversation.

Special thanks to @bigcypressgallery for hosting this walk and to @trailskatepark for having us over for the afterparty !!! 🐊💚🌿

Join us on Sunday, January 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery for the release of Trail Trees, a new zine by Logan Fazio. We’ll explore the exhibition, hear from the artist, and then head out on a guided swamp walk to visit a trail tree in the wild.

The walk lasts about 1.5–2 hours, involves uneven, swampy terrain, and is not a stroll in the park (because it’s a swamp). Space is limited. RSVP to info@exilebooks.com with [Trail Trees RSVP] in the subject line to claim your spot!

I had a lot of fun at the @miccosukeeindianvillage for the annual Arts & Crafts festival. The @miccosukeetribeofindians fashion show and @native_pride_productions dancers were amazing, and the @love_the_everglades lounge was welcoming and educational. My favorite part was seeing all the amazing beadwork and patchwork, especially the PATCHWORK!😍 @sister_robin @everglades_michael @frodo_swagginz @ottercypress @sunkeepersolutions @sunflowerrrs_maan by @loganfazio
