Well pops, you would have been 57 today. We had our ups and downs, but it was you who taught me that imperfection is the most common human trait, and I am thankful and was blessed to be your son. I may grieve, not for what I’ve lost because the lord has put my mind at ease knowing your pain is gone, but for what could’ve been and all the memories that could’ve been made. The best thing you ever brought into my life was God. For that, I thank him for the time we did have and the memories we did share. I’m thankful for the work ethic you instilled in me, the support you brought to every game or activity, the ability to share love and to care for others, and the family you brought into my life. You taught me to be a man, take a beating and rise again, be righteous in faith and courageous in myself, that blood alone doesn’t make family, how to aim high and don’t look down, how to love to the best of your ability and help others bear their struggles, how to acknowledge my mistakes and correct them, and most importantly that the correct path to take is NEVER the easiest. I will be eternally grateful for the lessons I have learned. I hope to spread your same love, positivity, courage, and finally, to make you proud. Keep lookin out for us up there…

Since I was a child football has been the main chapter of my life’s story. With my career as an Oredigger finished, I can only thank my savior Jesus Christ for the blessings and opportunities he gave to me. Nothing but thanks fills my heart. I have been fortunate enough to have met a new family, great mentors, and meet my best friends during my time at Montana Tech, which is another thing I can only attribute to God. I don’t know if my time playing football is over but as my Tech football chapter ends, I put my faith in God to guide my steps. Writing this, I run out of thank yous. From the coaching staff, the trainers, Mr. Stepan, Mr. Paul Panisko and Ron Hasquet, and most importantly my teammates. The brotherhood gained through football will last longer than the memories made on the field. The roar of Butte that filled Alumni Coliseum, will forever be a part of me. Thank you digger nation!
