Licensed Massage Therapist in the Denver Metro!
Studio in Littleton, Colorado or mobile massage in the comfort of your home

POSTS STORIES REELS

This past week, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with an old classmate, @loganmakislmt from @denvermassageschool!

Logan is an amazing massage therapist based in Littleton, and we had the opportunity to exchange massages at each other's home studios. It's always such a treat to reconnect with fellow therapists, share our work, and experience the different approaches we each bring to the table.

Here's a quick time-lapse of some of the back work I did during our session.

Massage is such a powerful and often-needed experience. It's an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body, release tension, and give yourself the attention you deserve.

I also want to give Logan a huge recommendation. His approach is thoughtful and intentional. He takes the time to slow down, listen to your needs, and work with your body rather than rushing through a session. Even when working around an injury, he brings a level of care and attentiveness that makes you feel heard and supported.

If you're in the Littleton area and looking for a massage therapist who genuinely cares about your experience, I highly recommend checking him out!

Always grateful for opportunities like this to reconnect, exchange knowledge, and continue growing together as massage therapists. 🙌

A portion (back, legs, and glutes) of the trade I did with @jonathanswellnessjourney. We both attended the same massage school and it was fun to see the different ways that we’ve made massage our own since graduating.

Jonathan has a particular knack for working with your breath while you’re on the table, especially when working through big knots. I’d recommend him to anyone, but particularly someone who is antsy about getting a first massage. His welcoming energy and ability to explain his thought process while working is second to none by @loganmakislmt

Feel free to comment on this or whatever else you wanna do that would boost engagement.

Even if this fully flops and like two people repost I’ll still be doing the free massage.

Duration and modality of your choice and happy to do a mobile massage in Colorado or at my home studio in Littleton!

Draping for massage part 2! Face up! #massage #colorado #littleton by @loganmakislmt

What to expect when you’re being draped for massage: the face down edition. I’m verbose in my thought process, but this is just a video for people like me who are wracked with anxiety. by @loganmakislmt

This isn’t even a timelapse I just can move that fast.

Love working on my friends in exchange for diet cola and getting to be passenger princess on the way to hikes <3

$Quick little post with a fraction of the chest and tricep work we did today. Plus a little Tim Curry in the background ❤️ by @loganmakislmt$

This is a snippet of 10X speed work on @quise_tyme, and a few photos that show just how much his shoulders fell away from his ears after busting through the knots in his traps and throughout his back. You can also see the increase in his V shape from his lats in the second photo. That’s in part because his body is actually fully relaxing down onto the table instead of holding itself up with unconscious tension.

Admittedly, he’s a trooper who can really deal with the intense deep tissue work, but anyone can get some level of benefit from massage.

(P.S. I’m in a Radiohead era currently, ask me about a discount if we can listen to their discography rather than the twinkly ethereal spa music I usually play) by @loganmakislmt

Leg and glute work on the ever wonderful @quise_tyme

Tried a new camera angle, lemme know what you think of the bird’s eye view 🫡

With the recent influx of followers from the ad I’ve been running, I figured I’d do a little get to know me post again:

Slide 1: I’ve spent the bulk of my life in Colorado and have a beautiful community of friends and family. If I’m not working, I’m seeing what kinda mischief I can get up to with my rotten soldiers.

Slides 2&3: A lifetime ago I was a dancer and it still informs the way I approach movement for massage and in my life. I still dance around in the studio at my gym pretty frequently, and I refuse to lose the flexibility I trained so hard to get.

Slide 4: I lost about 100lbs when I was a kid. It’s a huge reason I love fitness and the science of food and nutrition. It also means I don’t tolerate a moment of fatphobia and attempt to use neutral language for bodies. I aim to be an affirming safe space for people of all sizes.

Slide 5: I have a beautiful cat named Vivienne Plywood, she’s neurotic and cute and silly and challenges my fastidious cleanliness with her constant shedding. (She isn’t allowed in the massage studio and I have an air purifier running 24/7 in that space specifically).

Not pictured: When I’m not massaging, I work for a call center from home. It supplies the bulk of my monetary needs, so I try and be as minimalistic about marketing as possible. I find constant emails and up-charges and marketing generally annoying,so I do my best to avoid it as much as possible.

Slide 6: Deep tissue work is my favorite type of massage to receive, and it accounts for about half of the massage that I give. I also do a lot of Swedish massage or massage for the general purpose of relaxing. I help people with true stretching in maybe 10% of massages, but I integrate body movements (particularly for shoulder work) in most massages I give.

Bonus: I had a pet squirrel for a while by @loganmakislmt

I’m so lucky to have had my dream job for a year. I’m beyond grateful for everyone I’ve gotten to work on, for the word of mouth that has brought so many new clients and regulars to my table, and for all that I’ve learned in the process. Here’s to another year of continuing to improve and trying to be the bright spot in someone’s day.

I’ve stayed below the standard market rate for professional massage because I really value affordability. I’ve been pretty much flat broke before, and I’d wished I could take care of myself in a luxurious way. Being able to provide that to people is important to me. So with that in mind, I’m raising my rates, but with the caveat that using cash or Venmo will let you keep my previous rates or stay affordable. If that cost is still too high, reach out to me and we’ll figure something out. If this comes off as obsequiousness, know that it truly isn’t. I don’t care about money as much as I do living in a way that aligns with my values.

If you know me in real life, you know I’ve been on an upward trajectory of happiness for the past year. Its been a vertiginous thrill and I don’t want to jinx myself, but I think the best is still yet to come.

Love y’all,
Logan

TLDR: 1 year of being an LMT! I’m happy and grateful! My rates are going up but I’m staying affordable. by @loganmakislmt

Not pictured: vacuuming the studio, sanitizing all the hard surfaces, lighting a candle, diffusing aromatherapy, prepping the salve I make, getting the lighting right, getting hot towels and cups ready, turning on the table warmer, and starting the chill twinkly music I have on for you.

I love the little meditative process of getting ready to work on someone. Could be mundane to some, but for me it’s nice to have it be a ritual.
