They said they’re worried about the grass.
They’re worried about the safety of families & babies.

We’re an all ages, multicultural fest…🤷🏽‍♀️

Sound familiar?

Anyways. There’s a lot that doesn’t get printed! We’ll share those details here.

When these groups decide to go to a news outlet instead of emailing us directly (yes, their President has our email), with their concerns then that tells us a lot.

Date for September will be announced shortly.
We will be posting answers to common questions & concerns as well. And don’t forget, our website has a comment submission form for you to ask any questions to us directly 💗

Believe it or not, we have started the beginning of our planning stages for next year’s #logansquarefest. Drop the name of a business you’d like to see join in.

@logansquarefest combined pop-up shops, food, tarot readings, henna art, dance classes, kids reading time, community fitness class and live art painting.

And to think we were met with resistance from a few people that didn’t want this event to happen at the park.

Special thanks to the 1st ward for believing when we say we want to celebrate diversity and community.

Thanks to
@urbanitydancechicago for the complimentary dance classes
@purebarrelogansquare for providing a community mat class
@citylitbooks for hosting a kids reading time with us
And to the artists for live painting @emiliaartstuff & @_blnkhausgallery
Thank you to the 14th District CPD for the countless calls and meeting to find an adequate location for this fest.
To Lupe @chicagoparks and everyone that supported along the way.

We’ll see you next year with more food & community events ✨

It is officially Fall tomorrow! Come and celebrate independent businesses and get into the fall spirit with us.

We have so many amazing vendors and multiple activations this weekend.
All ages are welcome & we are collecting a $5 donation for those in a giving mood.
Donations will be given to a CPS school in Logan Square and additional non-profits.

Bring the kids tomorrow for a story time reading hosted by @citylitbooks at 11:30am. At 2pm we have a special hip-hop dance class with instructor @itss_nathaliee provided by @urbanitydancechicago.

There’s even more to do on Sunday, so come to both days & enjoy the amazing weather we’re going to have!
