It’s my 100th post!! I’ve been on bookstagram for a little over 8 months now, so I thought it was about time to re-introduce myself. 🩷

I’m Logen, I’m a neuro speech-language pathologist by day and a book dragon by night! Some fun things about me:

1. I’ve been married to my best friend in the whole world for almost two years now 🥰
2. I absolutely love to bake and love trying new recipes 🧁
3. I collect tiny spoons, but anything miniature makes me *incredibly* happy 🥄
4. I primarily listen to all of my books on audio, as it’s hard for me to sit and read a book because of my ADHD 🎧
5. My favorite Taylor Swift album is evermore, but I can’t nail down a favorite song! 🫶🏼 by @logens.library

If you didn’t already know, Left of Forever was one of my top 5 reads from last year, and one of my favorite romances ever. I read and loved Savor It earlier this year, so when I was invited to listen to an ALC of Lost and Found, I was elated! :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This series of interconnected standalones takes place in the fictional town of Spunes, OR (not to be confused with Forks, WA ;)), and each book is about a different member of the Byrd family—this book is about Silas. Silas is a firefighter coping with the aftermath of a workplace accident, and Bea is his lifelong friend/crush who recently lost her best friend to cancer. Bea is on a mission to live out her best friend’s bucket list for Bea to complete after her death, with the help of Silas.

I am a huge sucker for a man who has had feelings for the FMC for many years, and an even bigger sucker for a MMC who slips up and calls the FMC by pet names. Silas was caring, solid, and unconditional. Bea’s grief journey was heartfelt and raw, and I loved every second of it. This series is so special to me—I hope you guys read it and love it!

The narrators in this book were amazing as well—I’m a huge fan of Samantha Brentmoor, and Adam Gold’s performance was amazing as well! I love dual narration and felt it was very well done.

The Caretaker by Marcus Kliewer

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I do believe I just finished one of my top reads for the year today! The Caretaker is about a woman who is desperate for money and takes a sketchy house sitting job from Craigslist and supernatural things start to occur. 👻 This book is going to stick with me for quite awhile. I loved this even more than his debut novel, he definitely beat the sophomore slump with this one! I also got to meet him last week by chance at HPB while I was back in my hometown! 🤩 by @logens.library

So so so happy I got to meet the woman in charge herself, @authorlylasage yesterday!!! Thank you @halfpricebooks for hosting 🫶🏻

She was absolutely hilarious and a total delight. It was great hearing everything she had to say about the books and her future projects! I’m so excited for the Stillwater biology!!! I got to listen to the audio ARC of Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by Jessica Guerrieri this month and I really enjoyed it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a dark, emotional story that delves into alcoholism and its effects on motherhood, as well as toxicity within families. This was definitely tough to read at some parts because it was so emotional and heavy, but I really enjoyed the story. The author’s note at the end really got to me and made the story even better overall. Definitely check trigger warnings, but this was a great read.
