Step into the world of 5SUBIEN.COM ⚽️

A series of seemingly innocent children’s games becomes a powerful reflection on prejudice, exposing the hidden violence and systems of oppression that continue to shape contemporary society through play, language and interaction.

Originally developed in 2026 as a laboratory production within Teatru Malta’s GĦAXRA project. This restaging at KampuSajf is presented with the support of Teatru Malta

THE DIRECTOR, Julienne Restall

Julienne is a multidisciplinary theatre maker and performer based between Scotland and Malta. She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has worked with companies like Complicité, Temper, Manifesto Poetico and most recently was assistant director to Alex Fthenakis on Morna Young’s JOY at Play, Pie and a Pint. Her practice is routed in visual and devised ensemble theatre, having formed part of The New Victorians Company on projects such as VII (Sette) and Mara. by @loghbaensemble

VID, Annelise Abela

Annelise Abela trained from a young age at Masquerade Theatre and Arts School. Theatre credits include Othello and The Crucible for Teatru Manoel, Macbeth for Unifaun/Teatru Manoel and for Toi Toi (Teatru Manoel), Ħrejjef u Leggendi for Toi Toi (Teatru Manoel), The Rover, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Merchant of Venice, and Coriolanus all for Roaring Voices and The Merchant of Venice for the MADC. Annelise was awarded as best Actress in MADC’s One Act Play Festival in 2012 for her role in After Liverpool, received the BOV prize in Drama and was awarded Grade 8 Individual Acting Skills from the Trinity College London. by @loghbaensemble

KRISTOF, Shirley Blake

Shirley completed a 3 year acting course at MTADA and later earned an acting diploma from LAMDA. Active in Malta’s theatre scene for many years with various local theatre groups, she also co-founded and produced plays for Faces Theatre Group and Troupe18:45. In 2013 she moved to The Netherlands and continued her acting journey there. Shirley is excited to perform again in Malta after a very long absence. by @loghbaensemble

JURIJ, Sarah Vella

Sarah is a dance artist, dance/movement therapist and speech and language pathologist. Her artistic practice spans from initiating, leading & supporting performing arts and community projects to taking on various roles as a performer, choreographer, collaborator, educator & therapist. Her works have toured England, Italy and Germany. She works with various organisations, communities. schools and in private practice. Sarah is also the co-founder of Hale-Body+Mind - a space for holistic wellbeing and is the current president of the Creative Arts Therapies Society. by @loghbaensemble

Mandy hija attriċi ta' 30 sena u ilha fid-dinja tat-teatru għal madwar 17-il sena. Il-vjaġġ tagħha beda fit-teatru tal-komunita' mal-għaqda SKENE u tul dawn l-ahhar snin kienet ukoll parti minn produzzjonijiet teatrali varji. Attendiet għal diversi workshops f'tekniċi varji, inkluż ukoll workshop f'Kerala, l-Indja. Għandha kwalifika minn Trinity College fi grad 8 fir-reċtar u tħares 'l quddiem għal aktar taħriġ u esperjenzi teatrali. by @loghbaensemble

BLAŽ, Maria Cristina Zammit

Maria obtained her Master in Teaching and Learning (Drama) with Distinction and lectures in Theatre and Performance at G.F. Abela Junior College, where she chairs the Production Committee of the Ħolqa International Youth Arts Festival. A former student, and tutor, at Masquerade Malta, she also trained abroad. Maria has performed in various productions, particularly for young audiences. by @loghbaensemble
