This was my very first Judge Showcase.
Honestly, I didn’t expect the DJ to play that song, but 既然“来都来了”since I was already there — I just went for it. 😄

First of all, huge thanks to @blackcus.pomtsskak for inviting me and trusting me to be the judge for this Hiphop battle.
I was both excited and stressed — because being a judge also means you get judged by others. 😅
But through this experience, I realized how challenging judging actually is.
You have to stay focused, calm, and objective the whole time. You need to analyze things from all angles — musicality, message, creativity, technique, foundation, individuality, and so much more — so that the dancers’ hard work doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Big thanks to
DJ @patrickhooo_hpds @jeffrybeh and the MC @willg_11 — y’all really kept the energy going and held everything down. 🙌
Also, much respect to the
Bboy battle judge @pittden2 — a senior I truly respect. Honoured to share the space with you 🙏

Thank you to all the teachers I’ve learned from — because of you, I’m able to judge and analyze with more insight and professionalism.

Special thanks to my girlfriend ❤️— thank you for taking the time to be there, helping me out, and taking care of my students. It really means a lot, Luv u！ @jinghernn_

To my students — I’m so proud of every single one of you.
It’s an honour to witness each stage of your growth.
Please keep shining and doing your thing — the journey is just getting started.✨🔥

And of course, big congratulations to all the winners and every single dancer who joined the battle!
Showing up takes courage, and you’ve already won by stepping into the cypher. 💥

This event was really amazing — and honestly, every single person played an important part.
Events like this aren’t easy to make happen, especially in Penang.
But having a platform like this, where dancers and students can show up, take part, and shine — that already means a lot.

And lastly, I just want to say this to everyone:
Don’t be afraid of being different. Don’t let it make you feel small — be proud of it, own it.
At the end of the day, a battle is just a game.
So play the game in your own way — the way you like it. 💯✨ by @loh___willnus

长文慎入

这两天的活动终于结束了，虽然我在Story 已经表达过谢意，但是我还是想说，真的很谢谢 @auradanceacademy @thetitle.aura 不计风险地跟我一起讨论如何筹备这次的Battle，也很真诚地跟我讨论该如何把风险降低的同时间把活动弄好，我们才可以把活动带上来给大家 🤍

我一直想要弄一个属于Rookie Friendly的平台给大家，尤其是给我的学生们，因为我知道从槟城一直下去其他州的比赛费用真的很高，也不简单 🥹

其实，这次的活动完全是他们一手操办的，我只是用我这些年的经验和一些些资源帮忙他们协办和给意见而已，他们也是我见过那么多活动里面，其中一个最有心思的主办方，至于为什么会有这个idea，其实完全是inspired by @stepbystep_dc25 这个活动，big shout out to them 🙌🏻

也谢谢很多槟城本地和外州的老师朋友们肯通知学生们帮忙宣传把他们push 下来！🥹

很多外州家长也表示槟城的跳舞比赛氛围很好，很friendly，很welcoming，很互相respect！这点我不否认，但是其实还是会有立场不一样的时候，只是大家还是会把立场暂时放一边，因为舞蹈和音乐，大家再次聚集在一起，这才是我觉得圈子理想最健康的样子！
