I have just dropped Loki off to hospital.

He requires TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) and will have screws and a plate in his knee for life.

Recovery is 3-6 months, it’s a surgery for dogs whose limbs erode and weaken with old age, Loki was a happy healthy dog needing this surgery due to trauma.

The Vet confirmed he had no pre-existing conditions or spurs on his bones showing arthritis but almost all cases requiring such specialist surgery on an injury such as this will get arthritis in their lifetime.

So not only are we in pieces are poor boy will suffer the consequences of said dog attack for the rest of his life. His x-ray shows how severely his knee has moved and detached as a result of the ruptured ligaments.

The dog owner in question not only fled the scene and provided fake contact details, her and her network are now trolling Facebook groups, using anonymous accounts, to say this is a scam and having all of our announcements and posts removed.

Not only is the trauma bad enough, the woman is taking no responsibility, and now actively trying to effect community support for Loki’s care.

To all my friends, please share our post as far and wide as you can. I have copied the donation link in the comments.

It doesn’t matter if you live in Hedge End, animal welfare and public safety is global. So please do share, the link is in my previous post and bio.

Thank you for all the kindness and support we’ve received thus far.

Please help my gentle boy Loki recover 💔🐾

During a peaceful walk at Greta Park, Hedge End, my 10-year-old Rough Collie, Loki, was suddenly attacked and rushed to emergency vets unable to walk. He has a ruptured knee ligament, is losing weight, and can’t go to the toilet on his own.

I’m raising £4,000 for his specialist care, possible surgery, and rehabilitation to help him get back to his gentle daily walks. Sadly the other owner gave fake details.

❤️ Please donate or share through the link in my bio: https://gofund.me/34ebd5264

Thank you so much for caring about him and supporting us. 🙏✨

8 week of sickness.

Me on a drip, mum in hospital, two ops between us, weeks of medicine and rest.

Today we celebrated, in health, in love, in walkies.
