A Brief Message To Mr. Tim Curry From Generation X (though I know he'll never see it)

This one hit me personally. Though I never knew Mr. Tim Curry personally, his role in the movie, LEGEND influenced so many things in me growing up. From his costume influencing many Halloween costumes to his teeth to his superb acting. Acting that helped solidify that I wanted to act to. I can't believe I just watched LEGEND a couple of weeks ago! With the Tangerine Dream soundtrack, of course! I mean, these are the days that I'll see legends I grew up with pass. Still, doesn't make it any easier. Of all of Mr. Curry's movies, LEGEND will forever be my favorite. A movie, like Generation X, is usually skipped over.

How come no one gets upset about Jesus being portrayed as a White European though? I mean demographically that's not possible. And even in the holy book it reads, skin of bronze and hair of wool. That's not European. Yet, everywhere in the world it's some White guy with a beard and long straight hair. No outrage at that. Why? Oh yeah for thousands of years he's always been portrayed as White. Facts be damned. See, whenever a Black person, especially a Black woman, takes on a role that's traditionally represented by someone White, people get all upset. 🙄 I mean even being a mermaid was upsetting. A FREAKIN MERMAID Y'ALL! As well as, if you want a Greek or whomever person to do it, maybe they didn't even audition. Or, did and wasn't good enough. You know, typical industry stuff. My point is, I'll ALWAYS support things like this. Especially in a Hollywood that still writes and casts for White people to ALWAYS be the lead characters in just about every thing in every format! They'll throw in that Black or Asian person as supporting in almost every show/movie/ commercial though. That's throwing us a bone you see. Just to shut people up and show they're being sooooo diversified. 🤬 But in reality it's still the same ol' b.s. So, you don't like this beautiful Black woman is playing a role typically portrayed as White, so what! Elizabeth Taylor played Cleopatra. John Wayne played a Mongolian! Scarlett Johansson played Asian in Ghost In The Shell! Just so with this double standard hypocrisy b.s.! Not having it anymore! And if you don't like what I've typed here then please, GO AWAY! Get off my friend list. Block me. I don't care. I'm so tired of people acting like their representation is being so taken away yet stay silent towards Black people ALWAYS HAVING IT TAKE AWAY! We built this damn country! Not you're European, fictional character! Because even if it's not authentic demographically wise, at least it's a White person. I can count on 2 hands Black people being the LEAD for just about any medium. I would need hundreds of people to help me count how many White people are constantly leads for! But let ONE little character be Black and it's lose your shit?! GTFOH! by @lokidwolf
