THURSDAY JULY 16th - Creating Safety & Community (ENG)🫶

On this opening day, we create space for queer refugees and people building a new life in
Amsterdam. Through conversations and performances, this evening opens a dialogue about what is needed to feel welcomed, safe, and supported.

20:30-20:45 Performance by Miss BB Bellyhood
Big, beautiful, audacious and absolutely without a shame - Miss BB sparkles in her performances in which she invites everyone to take up their space 💫

20:45-21:30 Panel discussion hosted by Miss BB Bellyhood
A discussion on the day’s theme with panelists: Sandro Kortekaas (LGBT Asylum Support), Tjitske Tevonderen (Regenboog Groep), and Remi Jan (performer)

21:30 Performances by:
🌟Clara Saito - performs Sad Clown, an ongoing theatrical performance featuring lip-syncing and audience interaction, in which sadness is used as catharsis.
🌟Remi Jan - an Armenian pop diva in the world of drag who explores the intersection of emotion, gender expression, and cultural innovation
🌟Alfa Hoer - performs Not Mine to Carry, reflecting on the language we choose through the character of a clown with balloons attached to their body, each bearing a word that someone wishes they had never been called.

VRIJDAG 17 JULI - (Performing) Masculinity (NL & ENG) 🎭

Op deze dag nemen we (het performen van) mannelijkheid onder de loep, zowel buiten als binnen de queer scene.

Nog even een blik op afgelopen weekend want hier kan je toch geen genoeg van krijgen 😍 Lola’s Huis was weer echt een thuis vol kunst, gesprekken, theater en drag waar iedereen met hart en ziel aan heeft gewerkt 🌟

DIT WAS LOLA’S HUIS DAG 3! (English below)

Een knettergek feest was het - 5 uur lang radio maken met Jos en onze geweldige gasten, performances en publiek dat vol interesse kwam mee luisteren op het plein voor de Richel. We hebben enorm genoten! Grote dank aan MVS Queer Station en Radio Salto voor het faciliteren. De zichtbaarheid van onze community in de openbare ruimte is zo belangrijk- we danken al onze gasten en artiesten voor hun flexibiliteit, openheid en waanzinnige artistieke talent 💖

En ‘s avonds hebben we de boel nog wat meer op stelten gezet tijdens Eve’s en mijn Boudoir! Heel veel dank aan Juno, Jezzebel, Nat Tasje en Lady Bag en natuurlijk Eve Fatale voor hun fantastische, sexy, gepassioneerde en expressieve optredens 💫🌟🪭

Een enorm dankjewel aan iedereen - van techniek en productie tot barmedewerkers, alle lieve vrijwilligers, al onze artiesten, radiogasten en panelleden en natuurlijk alle bezoekers. Jullie bouwen stuk voor stuk mee aan Lola’s Huis. De sleutels gaan nu in het slot, maar dat gevoel van thuis houden we vast. In de handen en harten van onze community. 💖💖💖

THIS WAS LOLA’S HUIS DAY 3!

A crazy wild party - 5 hours of radio with Jos and our amazing guests, performances, and an audience that gathered with great interest to listen in the square in front of the Richel. We had a blast! A huge thank you to MVS Queer Station and Radio Salto for making this possible. The visibility of our community in public spaces is so important - we thank all our guests and artists for their flexibility, openness, and incredible artistic talent 💖

And in the evening, we turned things up a notch at Eve’s and my Boudoir! Thanks to Juno, Jezzebel, Nat Tasje, Lady Bag and of course Eve Fatale - for their fantastic, sexy, passionate, and expressive performances 💫🌟🪭

A huge thanks to everyone -
from the tech and production teams to the bar staff, all our wonderful volunteers, all our artists, radio guests, and panelists, and of course, all our visitors. Each and every one of you helps build Lola’s Huis. We’re locking the doors for now, but we’ll hold on to that feeling of home. In the hands and hearts of our community. 💖💖💖

Lieverds wat was het weer een avond!We pluisden op dag 2 het thema (Performing) Masculinity compleet uit 🕺 met een prachtcompilatie van Dans, Man, Dans met Michaël Bloos en dansers Tom, Victor, Swen en Daniël. Ook vroeg Hunkydory hem, Phil Mosher & Jimmi Heijgelaars de hemden van het lijf in het panelgesprek. En Tot het Richeltje gingen we helemaal met de fantastische Drek Manor maniacs Miss BB Bellyhood, Hunkydory, Powerpussboi, Bobo the Pup, Daddy Knakworst, Rex, D-Rex, DJ’s Nat Tasje en The Stress en uiteraard JULLIE sprankelende aanwezigheid 😍

LOLA’S HUIS DAG 3! 🏠💖(English below)

We beginnen lekker vroeg vandaag - van 13 tot 18 gaan we vijf uur lang radio maken om bij te komen van de kater, gewoon zo op het plein voor de Richel in een glazen kassie. Jos Nargy en ik ontvangen een heerlijk gezelschap waarmee we praten over o.a. queer allyship, veiligheid, muziek en theater en ondertussen genieten van performances. Swipe voor al onze gasten en de radio timetable.
Jij kunt gewoon gezellig en gratis langskomen en meekijken! Overdag geen tijd? Dan tune je in via de radio en kom je vanavond gezellig langs bij Eve & Lola’s Boudoir - met drag, burlesque, variété, schat, we hebben alles! En ook nog eens met een lekkere korting te bezoeken.
