This Weekend: Lingua Nigra Is Coming to Mora!

We’re thrilled to welcome Alicia Goodwin of Lingua Nigra to Mora for her first trunk show with us. Her jewelry has serious presence—and this weekend, you’ll get to see the full range firsthand.

Saturday, September 12th, 10am–6pm
Sunday, September 13th, 12–5pm

Alicia is bringing all the good stuff—new designs, pieces we’ve never had at Mora, and jewelry that may disappear again as quickly as it arrived.

Come see what she’s been creating, meet the jeweler, and get first dibs on the pieces that speak to you. Drinks, treats, and a great time are on us!

✨Meet Steve!, owner and artist at Remember Me Tattoo! ✨
Get to know those that make LoLex District such an amazing area of Downtown Asheville with our "People of LoLex" series and let us know who you want to see featured next!
.
Q: How long have you lived in Asheville, and how long have you worked in downtown?
A: My wife and I moved to Asheville around October of 2017. Growing up mostly in Columbia, SC, Asheville had always been one of our favorite spots to get away.
We didn’t relocate our business to downtown until December 2025. One of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
.
Q: What are some of your favorite places located in the LoLex District?
A: So far every business we have interacted with downtown in any capacity has been fantastic. Some of my personal favorites are Black Moon Ink, Mela, and Mora Jewelry!
.
Q: What do you love most about the LoLex Community?
A: I love that every business seems to be working towards making Asheville unique and giving locals and tourists a reason to come downtown.
.
Q: What makes Asheville special to you?
A: Community. I have never in my life experienced so much love and caring for your neighbors as I have here. When people say there’s magic in these mountains, they aren’t exaggerating.
.
Q: Are there any hobbies or groups you participate in?
A: I just like being a part of everything in Asheville that I can. From hiking with my wife and our dogs to going to gallery openings downtown and supporting our neighbors. It’s the best!

As our first official post, we thought we would film a quick lil shop tour!

YEWŌ Collective Asheville is located in the LoLex district in downtown Asheville NC. It’s the home of @yewocollective jewelry in the US, and our collection of thoughtfully selected home goods and artesian wares.

Whether you’ve been in many times, or first time hearing about us, we’re so thankful to have you all as part of the YEWŌ community 💛 by @lolexdistrict

Have you seen the iconic chicken featured on the @lolexdistrict pamphlet and wondered where it is? Take a walk with us from our storefront and find out!

Heading down the street (from Minx) you’ll walk all the way down to @voltagerecordsnc and then make a sharp right turn at the intersection. Don’t forget to shop along the way! From there you may be able to spot the corner of the mural peaking out, located to your right on Chicken Alley.

Made by the talented Molly Must in 2011, we love this mascot of @lolexdistrict!

How to spend an afternoon in downtown visiting some underrated spots!
Hint: Almost all of these are on Lexington Ave! ((And they've all been around for YEARS if not decades, so you know they're GOOD!))
