Figure 01.

I’ve been hankering to trade with the Portland adjacent BEATS CREATURE for ages now.

Their INCREDIBLE grooving skeleton caught my attention immediately.

What a FUCKING AWESOME character.

This pack is so LUSH.

The majority of these slaps are screen printed. This gives such life to the stickers that they are a pleasure to behold. The way that thick ink sits a top the crisp vinyl cannot be replicated by machine.

There are certain delicacies that come with a screen printed sticker. The “mistakes” are BEAUTIFUL.

There are a couple stickers that are cut vinyl on top of cut vinyl. These are STUNNING. The depth that the layered vinyl creates is undeniable.

I am also in love with their shortened BTS CRTR tag. I immensely enjoy all of the creativity that comes out of the PDX.

I won’t even let this immensely, diverse, and creative pack be ruined by the fact that I am overly jealous to the fact that they are a member of THE SECRET SOCIETY OF SUPER VILLAIN ARTISTS.

I have been trying to join this cult of creatives for ages. My emails have been rejected and my applications have been denied. Multiple times.

Figure 02.

This stencil multicoloured paster is epic. I can’t get over the detail and the execution. The delicateness of the newsprint just adds to how special this is.

At this point, it must be clarified that this is the visual work of ONE SINGULAR ARTIST. YES, what might come across as a multiple artist trade pack is the work of one sublime lunatic.

Thank you so much for trading. I will forever be glad that we were finally able to cross paths. Also, it must be noted, the brilliance of the sketched voodoo skull and the Pinky Malinkyesque Sausage Man. Lol. You rule. Don’t ever change.

Figure 01.

REEL2REEL is a BALLER. They DEFINITELY doubled down on this one. Sending not one but two AWESOME packs all the way from Sunny California.

The 228’s are WICKED. They are ALL so showy and well done.

I’m LOVING the multiple tags on the scraps and bits of labels and HELLO my name is labels.

The extra slaps are all pretty sweet too!

Figure 01.

J. HUNTLEY & BEAN are TWO COOL CATS all the way from Australia. CHECK the feed, MATE.

LOL. Only ONE of them is a CAT.

I was VERY HAPPY to meet their acquaintance and broker this eclectic trade. It’s unexpected gems like these that make me want to keep on trading and trading and trading and trading…

From the vintage train stamps on the envelope to the paint splattered and hand done BEAN on the train and brick blanks, this variety pack of fun and warm slaps kept me guessing the entire way through.

Figure 01.

CHRISTOPHER REILLY is the best and I don’t care who knows it. I will shout it from the rooftops. Christopher is a fellow Canadian, a wonderful artist and a true DISRUPTER. His feed is equally inspiring and jealousy inducing. Thankfully, he’s generous to a fault.

His latest slaps are incredible. He is constantly growing as an artist and as a voice in the sticker community. With Christopher, no vinyl goes to waste. The giant LOST slaps are wicked. I’m especially loving the black LOST with the split blue and pink vinyl.

They are perfect.

Speaking of perfection, those LOST hand tags are SO COOL.

Christopher has such a voice and personality included into everything he does. No matter the medium.

When it comes to printing stickers Christopher is the best. He has a keen eye for colour and for detail. The cuts are immaculate and the variety of laminates to protect the slap is enthralling.

Figure 01.

COOKIEPUSS13 makes incredible slaps. Seriously, they’re AWESOME.

EVEN the envelope SLAYS. I’m absolutely loving the NIRVANA faces.

The AVERY Name Badge Labels are all stamped and RAD. They are layered with neon fluorescent colours and textures. These are so rich and lush.

The Hello my name is and VISITOR slaps are INCREDIBLE. Each one is a collaged masterpiece. The yearbook photos mixed with the newspaper clippings and the typewriter text works so well together. These are all so fun to look at.

My eyes can’t stop darting back and forth. With each gaze unlocking a new secret. OH! There’s Jughead. OH! There’s barbed wire.

All of the stickers and glittery accents make these really super.

They are perfect.

Figure 01.

I have been trading with FULL COLOUR SWAP SHOP for a few years now. Or should I say swapping?

Whenever I see that brown International Standard mailer I get super excited. Whenever I hear from my friend from the United Kingdom, I just know that I’m getting spoiled.

I also get super jealous because their Royal Mail is much more efficient and much more cost-effective than our Canada Post.

Initially, I was just after the Ukraine Banksy stamps. However, my International Pal (TM) provided so much more. There’s a 228, a Joe Lycett postcard and some really, really cool slaps. I’m especially fond of the Trump ‘THE DEVIL’. Being in Canada and all.

No trade with them would be complete without some “…FOOTBALL STICKERS FOR THE BOY…”

Figure 01.

This pack from OJO TEVE is AWESOME. I just love their television. It takes me back to the one my parents had when I was growing up. The rabbit ears, dials on the side and built in speaker make this set iconic.

The way in which they have utilized something so simple and meaningful to harness these exotic and thoughtful collabs from other well-intentioned artists is quite special.

The breadth of the artist’s and the slaps themselves is impressive.

Of course, I’m loving that giant one and the colourful purple Simpsons inspired tv with that dilated pupil. These are great.

With OJO TEVE you get not one iconic symbol, you get two. Alone or together, both the eyeball and the television convey a powerful message of the viewer being watched or of the audience doing the viewing.

The voyeuristic nature of these is quite fascinating.

A special shout out goes to the GRAFFITI BOMBS ROLLS slap. That one is all kinds of awesome. Fingers crossed that they’ll trade with me one day.

Figure 01.

I am so thankful to be back on Instagram to be able to trade with people like STICKER SPAM SOCIETY again. They sent me so many awesome stickers. There’s glittery ones. There’s puffy ones. There’s cut to shape ones. This is also another artist who loves to collaborate and boy do they do it well. I am also super jealous of their unique and memorable character. I love a troublemaker. ESPECIALLY one with something to say.

I love the instigators, the agitators, and the people who just want to give a middle finger to the entire world. There is something so brave about speaking your truth. This sticker is just so special. Thank you for sharing it with me.

Figure 01.

I just received a pack from the one and only GREEN TAXONOMY. This pack is a KILLER. The paster is huge. It takes up my entire studio floor. It is printed so beautifully. The dot screen is incredible. Definitely the work of someone who knows their way around a computer.

Figure 02.

The other paster is equally as stunning. That green craft paper makes all the difference. They also included a digitally printed paster and two incredible prints on card stock. The prints are exquisite. The colours are sensational, the details, jaw dropping, and the overall print quality for the image is pure perfection.

They also kindly included a button, a business card and a big stack of stickers. As I know, firsthand, GREEN TAXONOMY is one of the best collaborators around. They have this remarkable tendency to elevate every artist that they come in contact with.
