Man, I don’t even know where to start. These past 4 years have been a roller coaster of emotions and stress. It all started with me putting my pride aside and stepping away from basketball to pursue an actual career. At first, I thought Architecture was for me, but after struggling and failing, I wanted to quit college because it felt like this just wasn’t meant for me.But then I had a talk with my bro Gumpy, and he uplifted me and introduced me to the field of Construction Management. Ever since that conversation with bro, I never looked back. I put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to reach success in this field of study. With the help of my girlfriend and my mom through late-night study sessions and endless projects, I managed to pass all my courses each year with a 3.8 GPA.Now, thanks to my amazing Aunt Brittany for introducing me to Turner Construction, I’ll be starting my full-time engineering position with them this fall. This isn’t the end of my story — it’s just the closing of a chapter. I just want to thank my family and my amazing HBCU for believing & supporting me every step of the way.I will do nothing but innovate and exceed expectations in this new journey of mine. #LonOut #ForeverDEE🩵 #ForeverGMAEDNA🩷 by @lon4hinton
