📍Lula Lake Land Trust in GA

It’s opened to public only the first and last weekend of the month because it’s situated on a private property. Check their schedule online to make sure it’s opened.

Make sure you take enough water and snacks. It’s kids friendly.

What can be better than hiking in the woods during this time of the year?
Walking through the autumn forest feels like entering a painting—vivid hues of gold, crimson, and amber cover the trees, creating a breathtaking mosaic overhead. The crisp air carries the earthy scent of fallen leaves, and with each step, a satisfying crunch resonates under my feet.
Suddenly, as if nature choreographs its own symphony, a gentle breeze sweeps through the canopy, coaxing leaves to pirouette gracefully towards the ground. It’s a mesmerizing spectacle—each leaf a fleeting dancer in this ephemeral ballet. In that fleeting moment, surrounded by the rustling leaves, I felt an overwhelming sense of awe and tranquility, etching an indelible memory I’ll forever cherish. #fallforest #hikinginfall #survivalgear #survivalcraft #bushcraft #bushcraftbackpack taken in North Georgia Mountains by @lona_plus

📍Black Rock Mountain State Park, GA
Early mornings are the best to avoid crowds. During the weekends there are so many people who wants to catch the last fall colors before they are gone.

Georgia's highest state park encompasses some of the most outstanding scenery in Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Roadside overlooks provide spectacular 80-mile vistas, and four hiking trails. Visitors enjoy the summit visitor center for its views, gift shop and picnic tables.

Mountaintop cottages surround a small playground, while campsites are nestled under rhododendron and gnarled oaks. Tent campers will appreciate the walk-in and backcountry sites that allow extra privacy, and "bear boxes" are provided to protect food. The park’s small lake is popular with anglers and circled by an easy walking trail. At an altitude of 3,640 feet, Black Rock Mountain is often cooler than other Georgia parks and may close during icy weather.

As autumn painted the North Georgia landscape, the forest came alive with a breathtaking display of fall foliage. Vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows adorned the leaves, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of colors. The sun pierced through the branches, casting a warm, golden glow on the forest floor.

Hiking through this natural wonderland was a sensory delight. The crisp air was filled with the earthy scent of fallen leaves, and the sound of crunching leaves under my feet added a soothing rhythm to the journey. The forest canopy above provided a kaleidoscope of colors, with each step revealing a new perspective of the foliage.

Exploring the trails in North Georgia during this season was a magical experience. The leaves rustled in the gentle breeze, and the woods seemed to whisper secrets of the past. It was a time of tranquility, reflection, and appreciation for the beauty that nature had to offer. #northgeorgiainfall #rabunbald #brasstownbald #brasstownbaldgeorgia #blackrockmountain #hikingculture #hikeoftheday taken in North Georgia by @lona_plus
