EPIC scenes at @royalacademyarts on Friday! We popped the Drawing Theatre in the main lecture theatre to over 200 people!! We were inspired by a painting by Aristotle da Sangaro - the Battle of Casina - which is in the Michelangelo Leonardo & Rapheal exhibition currently on show in the galleries. Why is this painting in the show you ask? It’s based on preparatory drawings and a cartoon by Michelangelo for a fresco he never painted! We recreated 3 sections of the painting over 6x 15 minute poses with the super combined modeling talents of the great @modbodadrian @dmaclifedrawing @slightlypricey and Mike Williams - huge thanks to our great models- @josie.deighton.artist for assistance and @tom_h_visualsound for an atmospheric sound track as always! And of course huge thanks to the RA for allowing us to take over the lecture theatre for the evening !! #drawingtheatre #drawingperformance #lifedrawing taken in Royal Academy of Arts by @londondrawing
