Thank you @sierra.college Student Engagement Center for inviting us @smashapinataexhibition to host a piñata making workshop for college students! We had such a blast with all the students! Last night we hosted our first SMASH! Piñata Making Workshop! Thank you @saclib for partnering with us for this adults workshop! We had a wonderful group of people who really embraced their creativity and bravery through piñata making! It was an amazing night and we can’t wait to do it again! We are really delighted to be working with Gabe. @gabegonzales.art @crockerart @smashapinataexhibition

You may have seen a lot of activity on social media around his work. Gabe has been sharing his process and promoting his own piñata in a way that is exuberant, playful, and really engaging to follow.

🚗Today, what’s essential to his story is also essential to the story of the piñata itself. It is about why it was made the way it is. It is about who inspired it. It is also about a particular song that is very central to that narrative.

🎉We also just want to say how much of a joy it has been to be here today at the Festival of the Flowers at the . We are deeply grateful to the Crocker for hosting us and for making today such a positive experience for all of our artists.
