We were so excited to host our family on such a beautiful fall day with our maple bush in full colour display right in the backyard. We would not ask for more.

90 years of connection, community, and bringing people together.

For nine decades, the OXA (Ottawa Executives' Association) has been creating opportunities for business leaders to connect, build relationships, share ideas, and grow together.

What started in 1936 has become a longstanding part of Ottawa’s business community, bringing professionals from different industries into the same room to exchange knowledge, support one another, and create meaningful opportunities.

Celebrating 90 years is no small milestone, and we had the opportunity to help OXA mark the occasion by capturing who they are today on film.

It’s one of the things we love about working with local businesses and organizations: getting to the heart of what makes them unique and finding a way to translate that on camera.

“How do you help people feel comfortable on camera?”

It’s a question we get asked a lot, because for most people, being in front of a camera doesn’t exactly feel natural.

We sat down with @Majeedmogharreban to talk about what really goes into helping someone feel natural and confident in front of the lens.

We help our clients feel comfortable by keeping things conversational, giving clear direction, taking the pressure off getting it “perfect,” and creating an environment where they can relax and be themselves.

Because the more comfortable you feel on camera, the more your personality comes through, and that’s what makes a video feel genuine.
