A weekend recap 〰️

Spent the weekend at Evanston Folk Fest with @oofie_vintage, @littlegemsevanston, and @oaktreeelizabeth. Then on Sunday, did a double dip at the Empty Bottle with @oxfamamerica. My camera roll is filled with live music and all of you rocking some Loner Vintage digs!

Music has always been at the core of what I collect. It’s my biggest muse— the people, places, eras, styles, and characters that come with it. So getting to be surrounded by live music while seeing some of my handpicked pieces find their way onto you all and also onto stage feels pretty damn special.

I feel really lucky to make a living out of the things that have always made me feel like me ❤️‍🔥 Thank you all for being along for the ride by @lonervintage_

The Summer Outpost is a seasonal home for Loner Vintage — a place to slow down and discover new-to-you vintage finds, all in a physical space ✶

Are you new here? Hi, I’m Alyssa — the person behind Loner Vintage!! I handpick vintage inspired by American road culture, western wear, my love of music, and the spirit of the ’60s & ’70s.

The Outpost features a rotating collection of vintage clothing for women & men, home goods, handmade bolo ties, and special finds, with new items each weekend.

The Outpost is open at 140 Harrison St. in Oak Park’s Arts District, inside @fiftyfirststreet ✶ Visit Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays through the end of August.

The Bolo Tie Bar is back… and it’ll be my last one for a little while🌵

When I started bringing the Bolo Tie Bar to markets at the end of April, I had no idea how much people would connect with it. Getting to meet so many of you, hear your ideas, and help create something that’s completely your own has been so rewarding.

As much as I’ve loved creating bolos, vintage will always be the heart of this little biz ❤️‍🔥

With my Summer Outpost just around the corner (more info soon!!) and my website on the horizon, I want to spend this summer focusing on thoughtfully designed bolo collections that release alongside future vintage drops. I also want the Bolo Tie Bar itself to stay special, instead of becoming an expectation.

In less than two months, I’ve done seven Bolo Tie Bars and together we’ve made nearly 150 one-of-a-kind bolos. I don’t take that lightly. Thank you to everyone who trusted me to make something with you.

This isn’t goodbye to bolos! I have workshops and special events around bolos planned for my Outpost, and I’m always happy to host one for special events or private requests. But if you’ve been wanting to build your own, this is the time!

It’s a little bittersweet to say, but we’ve officially entered the final month of The Summer Outpost ❤️‍🔥

I’ve loved spending my summer weekends in Oak Park’s Arts District, tucked inside the front of the beautiful @fiftyfirststreet. Thank you to everyone who’s stopped by, shopped, or shared the shop with friends and loved ones. There are just a few weekends left to visit before the pop-up ends!

Nestled in the front storefront of the beautiful studio @fiftyfirststreet, The Summer Outpost will showcase a rotating selection of handpicked vintage clothing, home decor, handmade bolo ties, pop-up events, and workshops. New arrivals and curated collections will be introduced regularly, ensuring each visit offers something fresh!

Bolo ties — made for all ☆

If you think they’re just for cowboys… think again. I get asked all the time how I style bolo ties so casually and the truth is, it’s about finding one that feels like you and your wardrobe, and not getting hung up on the concept they can only read 𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯.

So I built something I’ve been dreaming about: a bolo tie bar.

☆ Choose your cord + tips, pick your slide, and I’ll assemble it to make it yours. AND this weekend at @ensemble.place, you can also optionally head to @_rawson’s charm bar across from my booth to charm up your bolo! ☆
