You can find these Bomber CR shocks pretty cheap online and it’s a great entry into the world of coil, but let’s be honest.. they’re an entry level shock with pretty outdated technology. A WPS piston and valving kit will bring your Bomber into the modern age and turn it into an absolute weapon on the trail. WPS Podium Piston Kit install in a Rockshox Vivid Air C1, this one is for my personal Giant Reign. These WPS kits are absolutely outstanding, everything they say they’re going to do they deliver multiple times over. This one took me a few rides to get everything dialed in, but once I did I have to say this is one *very* good shock. It really shines in the high speed rough stuff, way more support to keep you higher in the travel with virtually no harshness or feedback. Very impressed. We caught up with ultra endurance cyclist @ray.sbmtb on lap 12 of his mind boggling TRIPLE Everest attempt! Another Nine One out the door. 😮‍💨This one on an Gen3 alloy Levo, we also did a yearly rebuild on his Elevensix. I’ve always said this is the way to go, buy a lower tier model complete bike and spend the money where it matters rather than shell out extra dollars on shiny parts you don’t even care about. Today marks 6 years of Lonewolf Suspension. I don’t usually celebrate stuff like this but 6 years feels like a bit of a milestone. What started in a tiny shop down a hallway past a nail salon (not joking) has grown into a slightly larger shop in the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara. 5 different locations, 6 different employees (over the years), and a whole lot of other ups and downs.
