ON DECK: LONG BEACH 🇯🇵🇦🇺🔥 Born in Japan and representing Nagahama, Kochi Prefecture, Long Beach moved to Australia in 2015 and has built a reputation as an energetic DJ & MC, known for his killer selection, dubplates and Jamaican sounds from foundation reggae to dancehall. When we first met in 2023 at one of my weekly events back then, he told me he was a selector. I asked him if he had his laptop with him. He said no, but he could get an Uber to go pick it up. I looked at him and saw something special, handed him my car keys and said, “Go grab your laptop — you’re next to play.” We had only just met that day. He came back, plugged in and MASHED UP DI PLACE! 🔥🔥🔥 Now catch LONG BEACH ON DECK at Rhyme & Grill Festival 2026. 📍 Abbotsford Convent 📅 Saturday 7 November 🎟️ Tickets via Eventbrite — link in bio From Japan to Melbourne and beyond. 🌍🔊 #RhymeAndGrill #reggae #MelbourneReggae #DancehallMelbourne #reggaefamily taken in Abbotsford Convent by @longbeach088

In 2013, @longbeach088 moved to Australia on his own to pursue new opportunities. By 2023, he made his appearance on the sound system scene in Melbourne, Australia. Representing his hometown of Nagahama, Kochi, Samu’s “LONG BEACH SOUND” blends foundation DUB, Japanese reggae, and Jamaican dancehall — delivering energetic MC performances and powerful selections that bridge cultures and generations. Now, after a year’s break, he’s back for one night only — bringing that unmistakable LONG BEACH energy to Rhyme and Grill Block Party on 8th of November at kindred Bandroom . 🌊🔥 taken in Kindred Studios by @longbeach088
