Our pop-up gallery, Reimagining Connection, at @movelbforward is coming to a close on June 6, and we warmly invite you to join us for our closing ceremony from 12pm to 3pm. Just like our opening night, we’ll have artist tables, community org tables, delicious food, and music. If you’re part of a community organization in Long Beach, we would love to hear from you and invite you to participate by reserving a table at this gathering. Grassroots groups are especially encouraged and centered. Additionally, in collaboration with @longbeachswaps, we’re also hosting a gender-affirming clothing swap. We’re collecting clothes to help ensure you feel confident and authentic in your own skin. Please send @queerscoutslb a DM if you’d like to donate. We’ll be accepting clothing donations in the coming weeks, and please keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of items we can take on the day of the event. Please note that we are not accepting used undergarments, with the exception of like-new, lightly used binders and bras. If you have a lot of clothing you’d like to donate, reaching out in advance will help us accommodate everyone. As a part of caring for our community, masks are required and will be provided if needed. We require high-filtration masks such as kf94, kn95, or n95. Air purifiers will be provided courtesy of @movelbfoward by @longbeachswaps

I’m excited to do a Clothing Swap event ! Haven’t done one since Pomona so hope you guys can make it, and I’m glad to finally make it to one of @longbeachswaps events - she hosts different sustainable creative swap style events every other month. I’ll be doing a Reusuable Bag station - so if you have those tshirts that you don’t wear like marathon shirts, or “company logo 2021” shirts, etc. let’s make them a reusable bag!! There’s so many uses for them • Traveling and putting your blankets & pillows in them • Dirty Laundry • Bulky Jacket on a roadtrip and double as a pillow • Kids Random stuff • Plushies • Keep them Folded in the car as a safety bag I can go on and on they are so useful and you can toss them in the washer because they are tshirts! 🙌 Anyways if you can rsvp would be great so we can get an estimate of how many people to expect. If you’d like to volunteer or have any questions send a DM to @longbeachswaps Hope to see you there! 🗓️ Feb 28 | 12-5pm 📍 Trademark Brewing - Long Beach #sustainability #ecofriendly #clothingswap #standaretopost #daretopost fyp handmade Vintage renewals Sustainablefashion Reworked Restyled upcycled Sustainable sewgood vendor Shopssmall Iheartvr vintagerenewals by @longbeachswaps

Looking for some day-of volunteers! Some tasks like set-up, break-down, organizing crafts, greeting, and logging our giveaways! Additionally, we're always looking for community partners and folx who might want to -Donate their space and host a future swap! -Help organize! This could look like planning an activity, doing promo and outreach, and/or helping distribute goods afterward -donate a service! Tarot cards? Live performance? Music?! Anything you think the community would appreciate! LASTLY, do you know Long Beach schools and senior centers that would appreciate these arts and crafts? Help connect us and we'll make sure they get them! DM US TO GET STARTED 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 #mutualaid #longbeach #lbc #dtlb by @longbeachswaps
