In the British Empire, when slavery was abolished in 1833 through the Slavery Abolition Act 1833, the British government paid a large sum of money to slave owners as compensation for the loss of what the law at the time treated as their “property.” The enslaved people received no financial compensation. In fact, many were required to continue working under an “apprenticeship” system before gaining full freedom. by @longlivpablo

I do this for my kids.

Not because it’s easy. Because they give me a reason not to quit.

Every late night, every setback, every bill, every doubt… I’m still chasing something bigger than me.

I don’t get to be with them every day, and that’s one of the hardest parts of my life. But every move I make is with them in mind. I’m trying to build a future they’ll be proud of, even when the present feels heavy.

This song is my reality.

The sad truth is, if I’m given the opportunity, I know I can shut down a show and leave people talking. But sometimes the people who are in a position to help choose not to, and that’s just how life goes.

What keeps me moving is the support from people who’ve never even met me. Every stream, every share, every message, every person who believes in what I’m building—I appreciate you more than you know.

So instead of focusing on the doors that stay closed, I’m putting all my energy into the ones that open. I’ll keep working, keep creating, and keep proving what’s possible.
