There’s much to love about electric driving.

The response is immediate, the drive feels effortless and everything is wonderfully simple. No stopping to fill the tank before you hand the car back.

It always comes as a surprise to people how much fun electric cars are to drive.

Power arrives straight away, acceleration feels eager, and the whole experience is refreshingly different without asking you to relearn how to drive.

Until charging becomes part of the routine, plug in when it suits you, keep an eye on your range and carry on with your plans. It doesn’t need to become an entirely new way of thinking about every mile.

That’s exactly why hiring one is such a beneficial introduction to electric. You get the chance to use an EV for real, on your own roads and for your own plans, without having to make the leap into ownership first.

And we’re proud to have electric vehicles in the Longmarsh hire range. It gives our customers another option, supports lower-emission driving and lets more people discover just how much there is to enjoy about going electric.

You don’t stay part of people’s plans for years without giving them a reason to come back.

For some, that might mean returning when it’s time for another car. For others, it could be hiring a van, finding something for work or simply knowing there’s a team they’ve dealt with before and would happily deal with again.

That history means a lot to us, because trust isn’t something you can just put on a sign and expect people to believe.

It comes from the people who return, the recommendations passed on to friends and family, and the relationships built with customers over the years.

And we still enjoy being part of it. There’s a real sense of pride in helping someone find what they need, seeing familiar faces come back through the door and knowing Longmarsh is still a name people choose to recommend.

We’re proud to keep doing what we do and very grateful to the people who continue to choose us.

Longmarsh: a name you can trust.

Van hire is not supposed to mean making do with whatever happens to be available.

A smaller van might be all you need for a lighter load, while a bigger move or working day calls for much more room. Then there are crew vans when people and equipment need to travel together, automatics for those who prefer them, and specialist options for the heavier stuff.

That scope is exactly why our van hire fleet covers far more than one standard size.

Our vans are built around space, access and versatility, with useful cargo areas, different body lengths and layouts designed for a huge variety of uses. Smaller models are easier to manage when you don’t need masses of room, while the larger vans give you far more space to work with when the scale of the day steps up.

Across the Longmarsh fleet, there’s a broad choice of shapes and sizes, spanning compact vans through to much larger options.

Van hire is available from Longmarsh in Wellingborough, Corby, Bedford and Milton Keynes.

A Golf R-Line in Deep Black was always going to have a lot going for it, and this one only gets better once you get into the details.

The R-Line treatment gives the Golf a sportier look, helped along by 17-inch Valencia alloys, rear tinted glass and lowered sports suspension.

Then there’s the 1.5-litre eTSI mild-hybrid engine with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The hybrid system works in the background to support the petrol engine without asking you to plug the car in, so you get the benefit without having to rethink how you use it.

Inside, the specification focuses on the things you’ll actually notice day to day. Adaptive cruise control takes some of the effort out of longer drives, front and rear parking sensors help when space gets tighter, and the heated steering wheel is one of those features you’ll appreciate very quickly once the colder mornings arrive.
This one has also been owned and serviced by Longmarsh from new using genuine Volkswagen parts, with a full service history to go with it.

It’s available now at £19,695, with 39,518 miles on the clock.

Come and see our Car of the Week in Wellingborough and take it for a test drive.

A car can be sensible without having to feel like the sensible option.

This week’s Car of the Week is a 2022 Fiat 500 Dolcevita in Crossover Black, with a 1.0 mild-hybrid petrol engine and 34,420 miles on the clock.

It keeps things compact and economical, but there’s still a bit more to enjoy here. The panoramic fixed roof, rear parking sensors, cruise control, air conditioning, and 7-inch touchscreen give it plenty beyond the basics.

Owned by us for it's entire life and, with a full service history, will be serviced before sale and includes a 12-month warranty.

So at £7,895, it’s an appealing option for anyone looking for something affordable with a bit of personality.

And if it happens to be someone’s first car, it could be a pretty memorable set of first keys.

Get in touch to find out more.

One van hire. A lot more room to work with.

More stock to collect. More equipment to move. A bigger delivery than usual. A weekend project with loads to carry. That extra space opens up a lot of possibilities.

Longmarsh has vans spanning smaller models through to larger load-carrying options, giving you the freedom to choose the space you need for what’s ahead.

Need it for a day? A weekend? A busy stretch of work? Van hire gives you more scope for as long as you need it, with plenty of choice across the fleet. When there’s more to fit in, there’s room for that too.

Van hire is available from Longmarsh in Wellingborough, Corby, Bedford and Milton Keynes. Call 01933 222872 or contact Longmarsh online for a quote based on the van and length of hire you need.

Pick your dates. Book your van. Get moving.

A dropside really comes into its own when you need quick access to the load.

Our September Van of the Month is this Ford Transit 350 EcoBlue Leader Dropside, and the big advantage is access. Drop the sides, get to what you need and carry on without having to work around a pair of rear doors every time.

That works particularly well for trades carrying timber, fencing, landscaping materials, tools or equipment, where being able to load and unload from the side can save a lot of messing about during the day.

This one gives you a 4.2-metre bed, a 1,120kg payload, rear-wheel drive and a 130PS 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine.

It’s a 2022 model and it’s available now for £16,795 +VAT. A strong choice for a business that wants plenty of usable load space, easy access and a Transit ready to go straight into work.

Ready to put it to work? Call Longmarsh on 01933 222872, arrange a viewing and come and see this month’s featured van for yourself.

It all started with a van for moving day.

You’ve got the keys, the boxes are stacked higher than expected and somehow the sofa still has to make it across town. A van gets everything where it needs to go, and that’s your first booking with Longmarsh.

A few years later, the plans have changed. There are more people coming along now, so an MPV makes sense for a weekend away with family or friends. Everyone travels together, the bags come too, and the trip starts as soon as you set off.

Then work changes. Maybe you need something bigger for a busy week, an extra van while another is being used elsewhere, or a hire car while yours is in the garage.
Further down the line, you’re ready to buy.

The reason for visiting Longmarsh can change over the years, but having hire and sales in one trusted name means there’s already a team you know when the next chapter comes around.

Different plans. Different stages. The same Longmarsh team along the way.
