From a small-town high school library to a love that crossed cities, countries, and countless miles, Katelyn and Brett’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. What started in 2015 as a serendipitous meeting during “spare time” in Grade 12 blossomed into a story of long-distance devotion, resilience, and unbreakable connection.
Their love traveled through Brett’s hockey adventures – from Youngstown to Penn State, to Buffalo – and Katelyn’s academic pursuits at Queen’s and Nipissing University. With Facetime dates, long phone calls, and a trusty Mini Cooper bridging the distance, they turned the challenges of an 8-year long-distance relationship into a foundation of strength and partnership.
Now, as their long-distance chapter finally closes, Katelyn and Brett begin their greatest adventure yet – marriage. Their wedding day was a celebration of love, perseverance, and the promise of forever, surrounded by family and friends who have cheered them on every step of the way.

Reflecting on 2023! Another incredible year of love stories captured, cherished and transformed into timeless memories. It was an honour being part of numerous couples’ extraordinary journeys, preserving their unique tales through the lens.

Amidst the countless beautiful moments witnessed and crafted into films, I’ve been contemplating what truly embodies the essence of 2023. It dawned on me; it’s the genuine, raw reactions of couples as they watched their wedding films for the first time.

Seeing their faces light up, eyes fill with tears, and hearts overflow with joy while reliving their special day – it’s an indescribable feeling. Witnessing their emotional journey mirrored in my work reaffirms my passion and belief in what I do. It’s not just about filming a wedding; it’s about crafting a treasured memory, a story that lasts a lifetime.

Their heartfelt reactions serve as a reminder that every wedding film holds immense power – the power to evoke emotions, stir memories, and capture love in its purest form. I’m immensely grateful for the trust bestowed upon me and the chance to encapsulate these beautiful moments.

It started with stolen glances over textbooks and switching lunches between classes. It turned into a love so profound they protected it from the world for six long years.
