What is a ‘resource team’ and how can you use them when navigating difficult thoughts and memories. This is one example but in session you build your own, I also give you suggestions and prompts to create it. Once you have them selected, we put them to work assisting you in moving through the collaborative experience we have discussed in your session, should you need added support. I am also there guiding you and creating a safe non judgmental space for you. This way you can trust yourself in your own process outside session and healing can continue to take place. #therapy #lonilamm #traumahealing #confidence #safe by @lonilamm

‘Resourcing’ is a vital step in preparing a client for work that could feel stressful to their nervous system. This is a stage that I never rush because when the client can feel confident in themselves and the environment, treatment improvement can increase. ‘Book-endings’ is an idea I was taught early in my career as I was developing in my niche as a trauma focused therapist. #therapy #traumahealing #mentalhealth #self by @lonilamm

Signals to look for that steps to healing are present and you may be ready to go deeper. This is done in a controlled environment where the client feels safe within therapy, with the trauma therapist, and within themselves. They have been taught and can utilize tools with the support of the environment and the therapist to navigate activation should it occur.

This is a must watch if you experience fatigue or exhaustion after a therapy session. Your body doesn’t stop communicating with you at the end of the hour.
