WELF TWENTY FOUR!!! TWO YEARS OF WELF!!! over the past two years i have published 24.5 issues, talked to 33 criminals and one prosecutor, printed thousands of zines, sent out hundreds of mail orders, and spent too many hours to count writing, transcribing, scanning, drawing. and formatting. working on this project has structured my life and altered relationships to others in a very powerful way. i am grateful to have been supported by so many dear friends and to rarely have been alone when tabling. i have been blessed with the experience of walking into houses and apartments i’ve never been in before only to see issues of WELF taped to walls, stuck to refrigerators, positioned proximate to toilets to provide bathroom reading. i would like to extend my thanks to everyone else who was worked on this project alongside me- editors, contributors, collaborators, guest flick photographers, print shop and post office employees. WELF is something that began as a group project and transformed into something much more self directed, but at no point have i ever truly been alone in producing one of these issues.

🛻🚂🐜

and now, two years in to the monthly release schedule, it’s time for me to take a break! im going west on a dangerous and exciting journalistic expedition that will leave me unable to hit the monthly deadline. i cannot guarantee how long i’ll be gone for, when ill return, or when i’ll be able to publish WELFs again. and when WELF returns, i cannot guarantee it will be the same format, the same size, the same release schedule. as such i am refraining from offering new subscriptions, and will not be tabling at the next first Friday. current subscribers will be contacted regarding remaining issues. thank you very much to everyone who has supported this project thus far- i cherish you all immensely. remember to do something you like with someone you love- do it today! by @lookaidanmitchell
