Painting Shri Venu Gopala Swamy for @krishna_ha_re
Painting by @loomiststudio

I tried painting Krishna nearly five times, experimenting with different mediums, sizes, and papers. Yet, somehow, nothing ever quite captured what I was looking for.

And then, one morning, while circling back to some lessons I learnt in the journey of this art journey , The painting finally came to life.

Whenever I paint a divine figure , I feel as though I’m in their presence, and that feeling is truly special to me. This Krishna is a gentle and gracious Swamy, and there is a sweetness about him that feels even sweeter than a ripe mango. His presence carries a kind of divine warmth that is difficult to put into words. While painting him, I felt as though I was spending a quiet, sacred moment in his presence, and I feel truly grateful for the blessing of having crossed paths with him through this painting.

What began as an attempt to paint him became something much more meaningful, a moment where he seemed to come alive on the page, only to remain with me.

I’m deeply grateful for that moment, for the lessons, and for the blessing of having him find his way into my home and my heart through art.

Title : Ganapathi’s Morning Raaga

In the quiet hours of dawn, Ganapathi sits amidst a soft abundance of giant marigolds, their radiant golden hues echoing the warmth of the rising sun and welcoming the purity of a new morning.

As he settles into his sacred practice of morning raagas on the sitar, the marigolds seem to absorb every note, blooming a little brighter with each melody. It is as though they consider it an honor to be present for his sadhana, soaking in the music while offering their own golden radiance in return.

Surrounded by flowers and immersed in the gentle flow of his raagas, Ganesha remains undistracted, peacefully enjoying the stillness, the music, and the devotion of his morning practice.
