Billy’s Uncle Ron sat in with Loom on The Beatles, While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Ron is turning 75 this year. He has been playing and singing for a long time. Music has always been part of him, so having him step into this song with us felt honest and pure.

He sang great. The room loved him. You could feel everybody pull toward it a little. Family, Beatles, guitar. The experiences and age in the memories of music. The way a song can hold half a lifetime and still have teeth when the band gets in to it

The tune starts where it should. Ron tells the story. Then the band starts opening the door at the end.

The Beatles (George) wrote one of those songs that always feels like there’s ghost in the walls of its structure and lyrics. Years later, Prince walked in to the outro and reminded everyone there was still fire sitting inside of it - we leaned in to that part 🔥

Big love to Uncle Ron. This was a joy to share.
