BB gave me this mirror when it became too dirty. He uses one every time he warms up. A putting mirror can be very useful, especially if you’re trying to make your setup and start line more repeatable.

The biggest benefits are:

* Eye position: You can immediately see whether your eyes are over the ball, slightly inside it, or drifting around day to day. Consistency matters more than forcing yourself into one “perfect” position.
* Shoulder alignment: One of the sneaky benefits. You can see if your shoulders are open or closed relative to your intended line, which can influence the putter path.
* Putter-face alignment: Mirrors like the Short Game Gains model give you reference lines so you can practice getting the face truly square to your target instead of relying on what looks square.
* Ball position: Makes it easy to keep the ball in the same place relative to your stance every time.
* Setup consistency: You can standardize posture, distance from the ball, head position, hand position, etc. That removes variables when your putting gets off.
* Start-line training: If you combine the mirror with a gate a few inches in front of the ball, you get excellent feedback on whether you’re actually launching the ball where you intend. by @loopinlax
