This VW is approximately the same age the camera I took the photo with. And they both green! Obviously.

For the first time in a decade (since the boy was placed in charge of the decision) I was allowed to sit in the window seat. I like the window seat.

Objectively, this is a terrible photograph; focus is wrong, under-lit and it has clearly picked up some grime during development. (This week I’ve learned my local Snappy Snaps has to send anything other than C-41 process away and the outcomes are… sub-optimal.)

Subjectively, I love it.

(helps when the subject is Blount, obvs)

New old camera update: it works!

(Last photo taken by Isaac Sharkey)

Need to learn to accommodate the viewfinder’s mild list to starboard, but otherwise pretty chuffed. Also, Snappy Snaps just email you the developed photos now… which feels like a massive cheat?

New (old) toy - a 1980 Olympus Trip 35. Just blasted a test roll through it on the way to lunch. Fingers crossed.
