WE ARE FINALLY GONNA RELEASE NEW SONGS

Eventually you have to just decide that it's finished lolol.
We've been working for literal years on our first record as a 3 piece band. Its been incredible having @bassickly as a writing partner.

For this release we decided to take a scary but fun path of creating everything in house. That's writing, recording, mixing, mastering, album art, merch designs ect. And tbh we really had no idea how much we were biting off. The learning is endless. It has been a long and humbing experience.
Anyhow the album is called Inc and this is the album cover. There will be a release show, there will be hard copies, we will eventually be on streaming services I'm sure.

More info later, but for now:

The Dealer: out Dec 1st on Instagram and YouTube

And maybe bandcamp.

Back cover and track list for our upcoming release!

How many of these have yall heard us play live? Are there any you'd be most excited for?

I'm probably the most excited to release CEO. We don't play that one too often but it came out so pretty.

We'll be releasing them one at a time over a period of who knows so come along on the journey through the corporate wasteland known as LooseTight INC! by @loosetightofficial

How we feel about bass solos?

Along with the rest of the record this was a live take with layers added.

We had intended to have singing on this but after a bunch of attempts at it we decided it was better left an instrumental jam. No matter what the vocals always seemed to distract from our favorite parts and change the vibe we were aiming for.

Either way this song is about a powerful badass business woman's journey to the top of the coorperate ladder, and her feelings of isolation and regret she developed along the way.

Thanks as always! by @loosetightofficial

We did three live takes of this song and picked our fave.
This tune is always a hanging on for dear life experience to play. Ben and I had this song written a good while ago but let me just say Alex really flexed on this one.

Up on Bandcamp and YouTube as well.

When we started working on our recording strategy we knew it was gonna be an unconventional process. We've always felt that we are in our strongest element when we are performing live. We've always allowed ourselves room for improvising, so tracking songs with improv sections was going to be a challenge. We decided that getting the best performance would be our main goal, and in that spirit we decided to track instrumentals live together in our practice spot and studio magic it up later. Which essentially meant we needed to get something that felt good in one take. We also shared the spot so we would have to break down after each session.
*
So we dove into the massive learning curve of mics, computers, Daws, emulators and whatnot. Setting up and being an "engineer" while leaving enough brain power to perform and record proved to be a guge challenge that took many weeks of practicing work flow to accomplish. We were humbled over and over as many hours of work often ended in defeat trying to get "the take". Other days we would show up and nail it first try. Throughout we just did our best to support and encourage eachother.
*
At the end of it all it's still hard to say if we did a "good" job. Mistakes were made and lessons were learned and forward we continue. All we can say ay this point is that we did our best to make something we were proud of. We definitely made something uniquely "us". So much love to you from us at LT.
