We had a great time at the BPC Legends & Legacy Gala last night! Honoring Black leaders who have helped shape the Charlotte we know, and the legacies they’ve left us to build upon! Always great to see the BPC family, friends, and colleagues! taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @lopez4nc

A whole day away from home, jobs, appointments, etc. only for there to be no debate and not enough relief for North Carolinians for the cost of living crisis that’s impacting so many. taken in North Carolina General Assembly by @lopez4nc

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, from our incredible speakers who shared their time and their stories, to the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Celebrating our heritage is so important, but there is still work ahead of us. With over 1.1 million Latino residents and more than 327,000 registered Latino voters here in North Carolina, our community’s voice is only getting stronger, and we need you with us to keep building it. Join the NC Democratic Party Hispanic Caucus today and help us carry this momentum forward. by @lopez4nc

☕️ FOUR new coffee shops in less than ONE YEAR in District 5!

Today we welcomed Lina’s Bakery & Coffee Shop to East Town Market in the heart of East Charlotte. 💚

Our small businesses are vibrant, hustling, and investing in the East Side, and City Hall should invest in them, too.

That’s why I’m proud our FY27 budget includes $600K for Business District Organizations like CharlotteEAST that help our small businesses thrive.

East Charlotte is open for business. 💚 taken in East Charlotte by @lopez4nc

Did you know there's a bill sitting in Raleigh that would make it legal for anyone 18 or older to buy a gun and carry it concealed with zero training or permit requirements?

Yup. That's a real thing.

It's called Senate Bill 50. Gov. Stein vetoed it last year, but the NC Senate overrode the veto. The bill is currently stalled in the House. Will it get a vote? What happens next if it does? We asked State Rep. @lopez4nc what SB50 means for public safety in North Carolina.

Busy few days on the campaign trail! Whether it’s sitting in a living room hearing directly from residents, attending the South Charlotte Democrats picnic, or canvassing with friends and neighbors, we’re working hard every day to listen, learn, and earn your vote.
