The hardest part of this piece was drawing the dice. I find objects with sharp, clearly defined edges especially challenging because they seem to follow rigid rules, and even the slightest artistic interpretation can distort their form.

5 things I failed at this summer

1. First and most importantly, I didn’t create my own website. I registered the domain back in January and planned to build the site at the beginning of summer, but I never got around to it.
2. I didn’t do enough sketching. I wanted to make more quick, spontaneous little sketches, but there was always something distracting me.
3. I wanted to restart the 100 Head Challenge, but I didn’t. I started it a long time ago, drew about ten heads, and then abandoned it. I still really want to finish it someday.
4. I didn’t manage to digitize my drawings and upload them to sales platforms on time. Now I have a whole pile of artwork sadly waiting for its turn.
5. I didn’t participate in Smaugust. Again.

Has this ever happened to you too? You make big plans, but then time, life, or both have completely different ideas.
