This post is all about MONICA and how she placed 9th overall at the Milwaukee @disneylorcana Challenge! She had an amazing run with @skylorcana ‘s Amber Steel aggro deck, going 8-0 undefeated in day 1 and continuing her run in day 2 to finish 4th seed after Swiss! In top cut, she faced fellow SoCal player @24klorcana Hector, making it to Top 16. The run ended in her top 16 match against Dylan Brown piloting amber emerald dogs. Great run, great memories, and lots of friends supporting her on the journey!

We want to thank ALL of you that followed and cheered Monica on this past weekend! This was a huge win not just for her and our team, but for women everywhere. Monica showed that women belong in the top tables too! Again, huge thanks to everyone and we really appreciate all the kind messages.

Monica will continue her run at NA Continentals!

Capping off Attack of the Vine season with some fun games at @fadgames.gg 🔥🎲

We got a hold of some of the new promos and pins as part of the Great Hunny Rescue celebration event, which was such a nice change of pace from the usual competitive tournaments we attend.

Monica beat the Vine with @brentmukai and @danananamukai while Patrick was playing in a 4-player pod of Coconut! The new multiplayer format is way more fun than expected and if you haven’t tried it yet, you should!

Let’s see what’s inside the newest Disney Lorcana Costco Bundle! ✨

We were very surprised to see these pop up on our feed. We didn’t hear much about it so we didn’t even know if we would manage to get one for our collection!

Luckily our friends (@meelee.giant.fairy & @lorcanaconnoisseurs) shared the news that they were in stock at our local Costco. Monica’s mom got the last two while we were at work and baby duties!

We are super happy and grateful to open one for our promo binder! Were you able to find these boxes at your local Costco?

Disney Lorcana Tangled Collection! ✨

We built this collection for a friend of ours. They do not play Disney Lorcana BUT they wanted to start collecting cards from their family’s favorite movie, Tangled! We quickly looked through all of our cards and we were able to give them a great jump start into their collection.

Post rotation is a great time to start collections from your favorite franchise since most older sets are cheaper! Best thing about these types of collections is you can collect any way you want: all cards, only foils, all language versions or even max rarity

This binder is also from @vaultxhq and we love using their binders to showcase our different collections! Use the code “theduo” for a discount if you pick one up.

Disney Lorcana North American Challenge Championships was one for the books!

Patrick competed in the LCQ on Friday with 🟢🟣 but unfortunately lost round 4 out of 6. Monica then competed in the main event with 🟣🟡 but ran into a series of bad match ups (🟢🟡 book control and retro 🟢🟣), ending the day 2-5 drop to go to the little one. Neither one of us really committed a lot of time to practice bc life so we did better than we thought!

We had a lot of fun meeting everyone during the event. Thank you to everyone who stopped us and took the time to talk to us! Everyone was so amazing and sweet 🫶

Shoutout to our team, @emperorsnewcrew, and our locals! You guys are like a family to us and we are so happy to have you all to enjoy the game with ✨ by @lorcanaduo

Unboxing our first Disney Lorcana Lorebook! This book dives into the lore within Disney Lorcana realm and it has been a fun read tying different things together ✨

Ruby Emerald also holds a special place in our hearts so we are happy to see it highlighted through this book.

This book was only made available at D23 for now and we are so thankful to our friend Dan for getting the book signed by the author Jacob Rennaker and artist @arbeesketch for our son!

We grabbed a 2026 D23 Collection Box from Downtown Disney the morning of release and that was the best release to date!

Being able to join a virtual queue at 5 am for a boarding group made it so easy. There was no queuing up for hours before opening, no groups rushing and no anxiety of whether or not we would be able to get the box.

We are so happy the @disneylorcana and @ravensburgerna team listened and made this quick change from the Heroines Edition of the Curator’s Collection a few weeks back. We want more VQs for these releases! ✨

It took us a week to catch up with everything that happened at D23 but we wanted to share how we got our newest promo card, Sulley - The New Boss, for our collection!

We did a few collection quests while we were at D23 and it was always a really fun time! We saw a few illumineers trading and ripping packs the whole day ✨

Even though D23 is now over, you can continue your collection quest adventure at your local RPH store until August 23 for the ‘Belle - Always Reading’ promo card (US only)!

From learning how to play our first trading card game 3 years ago…

(didn’t have complete decks since we couldn’t find cards, barely learned about sleeves and playing on the floor😅)

to top 8 in the most recent D23 Challenge Championship Qualifier (CCQ) and…

placing 9th at a Disney Lorcana Challenge (DLC)! We still cannot believe how far we have come together and the amazing community we get to be a part of the last 3 years ✨

From getting his ticket refunded to Monica giving up her spot for him to play, PATRICK DID IT! Patrick finished 8th overall in the D23 CCQ and secured his favorite mat to date ✨

Patrick has always been a ‘Mother Knows Best’ card lover since the beginning and it only fits that he tried for this amazing prize 🏆

Patrick had the following match ups:
R1 PS 2-1
R2 YP 2-1
R3 GY 2-0
R4 GS 2-0
R5 YP 2-1
R6 ID
R7 ID

T8 0-2 Lost to the champion! Congratulations on qualifying Alessio!

D23 Day 2 and Patrick made Top 8 at the first @disneylorcana Season of Villainy CCQ! Baby buff was activated ✨

#disney #d23 #lorcana #disneylorcana

Shout out to our crew for holding it down today 😮‍💨 3 out of 4 got the foil ‘Mother Knows Best’ TOP 32 promo

Monica was on mom duties today so no CCQ for her but our lil fam enjoyed D23 together!

Thank you lore guides for supporting our fam throughout the tournament and letting us stick together 🙏

Patrick faced many great & challenging opponents today including a couple teammates 🥲

Competing in this new season of life comes with its own challenges and we are still learning but we are excited! Cheers to the Season of Villainy 🥂 by @lorcanaduo
