It was so lovely to ride with our Scottish guests, the “Blebo Warriors,” who drove all the way to La Creuse to discover whether our roads really are as peaceful and traffic-free as we say!

After four days of cycling, we were delighted that Jim, George and Nigel weren’t disappointed—they loved the whole Chez Jallot experience: hearty breakfasts to fuel their rides, a birthday cake for Jim that was so enormous it even lasted for several days !, and home-cooked evening meals to finish each day.

Anthony and I thoroughly enjoyed hosting you all. Have a safe journey home to St Andrews, and we hope to see you again!

🚴‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 taken in Chez Jallot by @lord_muir

What started as a simple flower bed with a log store soon became something much more practical!

We needed a stable for our vintage Massey Harris Pony, so out came the flower bed and in came some serious hard work. Using granite stones found around the garden—and with a little help from our neighbour’s New Holland tractor—we moved some enormous rocks and transformed the space into a beautiful, functional stable.

A lot of sweat, a lot of heavy lifting, and a project we’re really proud of #masseyharris #masseyharrispony #ponytractor #tractor #newholland taken in Chez Jallot by @lord_muir

Working on Making a stable for our little 1950s Massey Harris Pony. She needs a few home comforts to begin with, followed by plenty of tender loving care to bring her back to life. She’s certainly showing her age, but we’re convinced there’s still plenty of life left in this old girl yet—and we can’t wait to see her working again! 🚜 #masseyharris #masseyharrispony #tractor #vintagetractor #vintage taken in Chez Jallot by @lord_muir

What a fantastic weekend hosting the Cannondale Factory Racing mountain bike team! After going through 200 eggs, 6kg of oats, and 12 litres of oat milk, it was incredible to see @jolandaneff @ana_santoss.13 @lucamartin.12 @cole_punchie , and @charlie_aldridge1 in action at Mont de Guéret.

Podium finishes for @cannondale.factoryracing , plus some wonderful feedback about Chez Jallot, Anthony & Heidi’s hospitality and cooking—and how much everyone loved La Creuse.

Well done to all 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #cannondale #mtbracing #vtt #coupedefrance creuseoxygène taken in Chez Jallot by @lord_muir
