THE USS CONSTITUTION 🇺🇸 May God Bless our Navy & All US Armed Service members. There is something extraordinary about seeing history this closely, especially when it connects so personally to your own family story. I wanted to thank Sharlene Sones, Director of Marketing & Communications at the USS Constitution Museum, along with Betsy Hoffman, Joanna Cacciola, Kelly Neagle, and the USS Constitution Public Historian Carl Herzog. I’m so grateful for the time, generosity, and access they shared with us — including a remarkable private glimpse into the writings and life of Commodore William Bainbridge. Today, we celebrated another milestone as we announced double-digit growth over last year and shared our strategy for the next six months during our Town Hall Meeting. Happy 4th of July America - 🇺🇸 This is my Great Great Great Uncle Commodore William Bainbridge (1774–1833). Commodore Bainbridge commanded the USS Constitution—affectionately known as “Old Ironsides”—during the War of 1812. Under his leadership, the Constitution won a celebrated victory over a British warship, helping to secure one of the most famous naval triumphs in American history. In recognition of his distinguished service and bravery, the United States Congress awarded him a gold medal and honored him as one of the heroes of the War of 1812. 🏅 More than two centuries later, the USS Constitution remains the world’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat. Today, she is preserved as a floating museum at Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston, where visitors can step aboard and experience this remarkable piece of American naval history. Today, is my last day at the farm until Fall. Outside of doing my normal upgrades to the main house, I really focused on those who lived here before me. Historians and older generations have been here all week telling me stories about this legendary historical place called GROVERLAND.
