<Vengeance>, an original Hamlet aria, is now available to stream on all major platforms!!🗡️🗡️💀💀👑👑

Composed by Chess Amadé Albaneze @cesare_court_jester and me, and performed by Julian Kornick @julian_kornick. The album cover art was generously created by Jorge Jaramillo @lordbinah

I never finished my music education, yet I always find myself returning to music whenever I have downtime between obligations.

In early 2024, I was looking for projects to work on during the strike when I recalled a melody that first came to me in high school, not long after I read Hamlet—a story I deeply relate to.

I cleaned up the chicken-scratch handwritten sheet music I wrote when I was 18 and reached out to my longtime internet friend and opera composer, Chess, to help arrange it into an orchestral piece. After discussing lots and lots about opera, we decided to write Vengeance for countertenor—my personal favourite voice type in opera, and one that felt fitting for a young prince.

We finished the score in late 2024. After a few candidates falling through, I was lucky enough to find the incredibly talented composer and opera singer Julian. Who knew finding a countertenor in Los Angeles would be so difficult—and who knew I’d end up finding one right here? Julian is equally passionate about Hamlet and suggested performing the aria theatrically before I even told him my goal was to turn it into a music video. He sang, performed, and produced the track, even mixing in instruments that he played himself.

I’ve been a fan of Jorge’s work for a long time. We had the chance to meet in person in 2025, not long after we wrapped the music video production, and I realized that his art style would be a perfect fit for the music. I’m incredibly honored that he created the cover art for our aria.

It’s surreal to look back and see how everyone came together. This has been a long time coming, and I can’t thank everyone enough who believed in this little passion project of mine.

Can’t wait to work with you again. by @lordbinah
