I bet right now, all you want is a wedding night where you can’t go to the toilet, so you don’t miss a second on the dancefloor.

…but so far you’ve only found DJs who play the same cheesy music you’ve heard at every wedding you’ve ever been to.

And it’s frustrating.

Because the party is the part everyone looks forward to.

Here’s why you don’t know what to post to attract clients as a wedding DJ ⤵️

You open Instagram, go blank, scroll other DJs for inspiration, then end up posting a random clip from your last wedding at 11pm just to get something out.

A few likes, no enquiries.

It’s not the algorithm. It’s that you don’t know who you’re creating content for.

One day it’s a cheesy wedding classic, the next it’s house, then a video of your setup. You’re trying to show you can do everything so you don’t put anyone off.

But when your content speaks to everyone, it speaks to no one.

Your ideal clients land on your page and can’t tell if you’re the right DJ for them.

The moment you get specific about WHO you want to work with, what they want their wedding to feel like, their biggest fears and what matters most to them, you’ll never run out of content ideas.

Every post has a purpose: attract the right couples, build trust and show them why you’re the DJ they’ve been looking for.

I went from posting mixes 3x a day, getting hundreds of enquiries but converting very few, to creating content for my ideal client and signing £10k bookings with couples who aren’t looking at anyone else.

This is why your wedding clients ghost you after you send over your price 👇🏾

It’s probably not because you’re too expensive, it’s because of your positioning.

“Wedding DJ” makes you one of hundreds of options. Couples compare your price to everyone else and choose whoever is cheaper.

But

“Wedding DJ for big Indian weddings who keeps 3 generations on the dance floor” makes you the only option.

You’re no longer competing on price because you’ve positioned yourself as the person who gets exactly what they want.

The mistake most wedding suppliers make is trying to appeal to everyone because they’re scared niching down will mean fewer clients.

Most couples getting married in 27/28 do the exact same thing

They spend months scrolling TikTok and IG, going through DJ after DJ trying to find the best one.

They don’t want a cheesy wedding. They want a proper party. They want to feel like they’re in an RnB club with their friends, with a full dancefloor all night.

But they assume they’ve got loads of time to book, and that’s not true.

The best DJs get booked up fast by the couples who find them and book straight away.

And most of my 2027 dates are already gone.

Here’s what the lead up to your wedding could look like based on the type of couple you are:

Book the DJ you want now, and this is you in six months:

You know you’ve got an amazing, top tier DJ.

You’re sending his IG to your guests, everyone’s gassed, telling you they can’t wait for the party.

Or wait and this is you in six months:

The DJ you wanted is booked.

The only options left are the DJ included in the package, or risk going with a local DJ hoping you get the vibe you want and not the same cheesy playlist you hear at every wedding.

And now you’re spending every night wondering:

“Is our dancefloor going to be like the one I’m seeing on that other DJ’s page?”

There are two types of couples:

I’ve invested over £40,000 into my wedding bookings over the last 7 months. Here’s why. 👇🏾

A few years ago, I did everything myself. Enquiries through Instagram DMs, emails whenever I had time, manually arranging calls, sometimes clients waited weeks for a reply.

There was no contract. No proper system. No backup plan if I was ill. No way for couples to properly communicate their must-plays, do-not-plays or special requests.

It worked, but it wasn’t seamless. And it definitely wasn’t the premium experience I wanted to give my clients.

So I took one of the biggest risks of my career and brought my partner Monika onto the business full-time.

- Couples get a detailed music form covering must-plays, do-not-plays and specific requests.
- I download and plan around every request before the wedding, so nothing feels random or last-minute.
- We offer another planning call before the wedding if needed.
- And Monika is at every wedding, handling anything that comes up so I can stay completely focused on the music.

Because your wedding DJ shouldn’t just turn up with a laptop and a playlist.

There should be a proper process, protection, communication and someone making sure the details actually happen.
