📍The Republic Of San Marino

🇬🇧 Had you ever heard of this tiny country located inside Italy?

ℹ️ It is the third smallest state in Europe after the Vatican and Monaco and the oldest existing republic in the world that dates back to the 16th century.

🏰 Each summer take place the Medieval Days during which the whole town of San Marino is immersed in the Middle Ages and comes alive with performances and historical re-enactments. This Summer it will be from the 25th till the 27th of July.

🇫🇷 Vous aviez déja entendu parler de ce petit pays qui est enclavé à l’intérieur de l’Italie?

ℹ️ C’est le troisième plus petit état d’Europe après le Vatican et Monaco et la plus ancienne république au monde depuis le 16ème siècle.

🏰 Chaque été ont lieu les journées médiévales pendant lesquelles toute la ville est plongée dans le Moyen Âge et s’anime avec des représentations et des reconstitutions historiques. Cet été elles se dérouleront du 25 au 27 juillet.

🇬🇧Here is a suggestion of what you can do if you spend a day in Annecy, the « Pearl of the French Alps » also called the « Venice of the Alps » because of the three canals and the Thiou river, which passes through the old city :

🚶Stroll in the charming old city

❤️ Cross the bridge of Love

🌅 Take a walk by the lake

🛶Take a boat tour on the lake

🪂Take a 30 minutes drive to get an overview of the lake and try some paragliding or hang gliding

🇫🇷Voici une petite suggestion de ce que vous pouvez faire si vous passez une journée à Annecy, surnommée « La Perle des Alpes françaises » mais aussi la « Venise des Alpes » en raison des trois canaux et de la rivière Thiou, qui traverse la vieille ville :

🚶Flâner dans la charmante vieille ville

🌅 Faire une promenade au bord du lac

🛶 Faire du bateau sur le lac

Fly me to the moon and let me be among the stars 🌙✨

Un petit come back par ici! Je n’étais pas sur Saturne ni sur Jupiter mais ça me dirait bien de changer de planète pour échapper à ce monde de fou!

À défaut, le temps d’une nuit à l’observatoire de Saint Verran c’est déjà pas si mal pour rêver d’un monde meilleur et avoir la tête dans les étoiles ✨🔭🌌🪐

Je n’ai malheureusement pas eu de bonnes conditions avec la pleine lune ce soir là mais j’aimerais me pencher plus sérieusement sur l’astro photo!

Qui a déjà passé la nuit dans un observatoire?

🇬🇧 A little comeback around here! I wasn’t on Saturn nor Jupiter but I wish I could move to another planet sometimes to escape this crazy world!

Spending a night at the Saint Verran observatory in the French Alps is at least better than nothing to dream of a better world and have the head in the stars ✨🔭🌌🪐

Unfortunately I didn’t have good conditions that night because of the full moon but I’d really like to learn more about astro photography!

DOLOMITES Top 4 ✨ [🇫🇷👇]

🇺🇸 Here are the places you should not miss if you are planning a trip to the Dolomites in 2024 👇

📍Lago Di Carezza is only a 40 minutes drive from Bolzano. There is a large paying car park opposite the entrance.

📍Lago Di Braies is located less than one hour from Cortina d’Ampezzo.
⚠️ Due to its popularity it can get really crowded in the high season!

📍Tre Cime di Lavaredo
If you come by car, access to the departure car park is via a toll road which costs 30€
🅿️ Mountain refuge Auronzo
🥾 If you follow path n.101 you will arrive to the highest peak (only about 1.5 miles) You can also choose to do the whole 7,8 miles loop trail.

📍Lago di Sorapis is a beautiful lake with turquoise waters. To get there you need to hike :

📍Lago Di Carezza est à seulement 40 minutes en voiture de Bolzano. Il y a un grand parking (payant bien sûr 🙄) face à l’entrée.

📍Lago Di Braies est situé à moins d’une heure de Cortina d’Ampezzo.
⚠️ En raison de sa popularité, il peut y avoir beaucoup de monde en haute saison !

📍Tre Cime di Lavaredo
Si tu viens en voiture, l’accès au parking de départ se fait par une route à péage dont le coût est de 30€.
🅿️ Refuge d’Auronzo
🥾Si tu suis le chemin n.101 tu arriveras au point culminant (2/3 km seulement). Tu peux aussi choisir de faire la boucle de 12,6 km.

📍Lago di Sorapis est un magnifique lac aux eaux turquoises! Pour y arriver il faut faire une randonnée :

Idée rando sympa à faire à l’automne! [🇺🇸 below👇]

📍Les passerelles himalayennes du lac de Monteynard!

Un petit goût d’aventure à 30 min de Grenoble!

🥾Le tour complet (+ traversée du lac en bateau) est de 13.5km (mais vous pouvez aussi accéder directement aux passerelles par un sentier d’1h30 A/R)

The most famous train in the world? [🇫🇷ci-dessous]

Yep indeed! The Jacobite Steam Train became famous in the 2000s when it became the Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter saga 🧙‍♀️

📍Departure is from Fort Williams.

👀 On your way you will cross the famous 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct seen in the Harry Potter films.

You will then arrive at the charming little fishing port of Mallaig (pics 7 & 8).

This line has received several titles, such as “the most picturesque railway line in the world” or “the best railway journey in the world”. I gotta admit that the landscapes on the way are really very beautiful.

Would you take the ride?

🇫🇷 Le train le plus célèbre du monde? Oui c’est bien le Jacobite Steam Train devenu célèbre dans les années 2000 en devenant le Poudlard Express de la saga Harry Potter 🪄

📍Le Départ se fait de Fort Williams.

👀 Sur le chemin vous traverserez le fameux viaduc de Glennfinann, connu également grace aux films HP.

Vous arriverez ensuite au charmant petit port de pêche de Mallaig (photos 7 et 8).

Cette portion de ligne a reçu plusieurs titres, comme « la ligne de chemin de fer la plus pittoresque du monde » ou encore « le meilleur voyage ferroviaire du monde ». J’avoue que les paysages sur la ligne sont vraiment très beaux.
