👞🌎 Big news from TapIN!

For the past five years, our Bay Area community has donated hundreds of tap shoes—and now those shoes are going even farther. ❤️

TapIN Youth Dance Ensemble is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Chloe & Maud Foundation and their Tap Into Life initiative, helping provide tap shoes to young dancers in after-school programs around the world. 🌍✨

This summer, our large shipment found new feet at the Compton Summer Tap Program—and we’re just getting started.

To every studio, dancer, family, and volunteer who has donated, sorted, cleaned, and packed shoes: you made this possible. 🙌🏽

Bay Area studios! Want your studio to host a tap shoe drive? 👞📦 Get in touch!

We’re honored to share that TapIN will be attending the Santana Tap Fest this year in support of a truly meaningful initiative.

The Chloe & Maud Foundation @chloeandmaud is offering a free tap festival for LAUSD elementary students—welcoming dancers of all experience levels. Access like this matters.

Beyond the dancing, they’re investing in the whole child—offering a self-esteem workshop, a film class, and providing snacks, lunch, and water for every participant. It is thoughtful, intentional, and deeply impactful.

This weekend, TapIN will also be delivering hundreds of pairs of donated tap shoes to support their students, along our first annual financial contribution—made possible by the efforts of our ensemble and community. We hope to make many more.

@loreekenagy and her program @wspa.tap and it’s home @wspadalycity are grateful to stand alongside work like this. If you’re not already, it’s worth paying attention to Tap Into Life, what they’ve already done, and what they continue to build. 🤍👞

We are here to work right alongside you. 🕺🏼 💪🏻 by @loreekenagy

This year, we are expanding our impact to include need-based scholarships for tap students in programs and festivals everywhere.

Want to sponsor a dancer? Now your donations to TapIN have an even greater impact. Not only do they keep our free Oakland program thriving-they also make it possible for us to support tap education in other communities as well.

Also, we need your gently-used tap shoes. Please donate to your nearest participating studio - or TapIN ensemble member.

Give on behalf of your love of tap dance and your desire to invite more kids onto the dance floor.
