Our ‘sofa in many guises’ has launched this month and continues our 10th anniversary celebrations, with @penny_morrison_ltd being one of our earliest clients and a long-standing creative partner!

With fully removable loose covers and a choice of finishes, the sofa can be tailored to your space and reimagined over time in any Penny Morrison or bespoke fabric - from a crisp box-pleated skirt in Ticking Stripe to a softer gathered finish in one of Penny’s decorative florals, or a clean, skirtless silhouette that reveals its elegant turned legs.

Few designers understand the transformative power of fabric quite like Penny Morrison. Created in collaboration with @lorfords_contemporary the new ‘Penny’ sofa and ottoman collection celebrates the versatility of her textiles, demonstrating how a single silhouette can take on different personalities through fabric, tailoring and finish.

Designed with fully removable loose covers, the sofa can be reimagined season after season, adapting effortlessly to different interiors, schemes and styles.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in a relationship that stretches back to the very beginnings of Lorfords Contemporary. One of the upholstery studio’s earliest clients, @penny_morrison_ltd has worked closely with Nasia and her team for over a decade on bespoke commissions, united by a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, superb comfort and beautifully considered design.

As Lorfords Contemporary celebrates its tenth anniversary, the partnership felt a natural one to celebrate resulting in a collection that showcases both brands’ expertise at its very best.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝗮: The perfect mix of restraint and comfort, the Belmont combines a structured silhouette with the neatest of down cushioning. As comfortable to sit upright or lounge with the dogs on a Sunday afternoon, this is a versatile sofa that holds its own from grand drawing rooms to the end of the bed.

Seen here traditionally upholstered in the latest @fermoie Coral fabric, inspired by the intricate forms of bleached coral fragments found along a Fijian shoreline, Coral explores the distinctive radial structure of honeycomb coral.

The Belmont is available to view at the Fermoie flagship showroom in the heart of the Pimlico Road Design District.

Nasia took part in a fascinating panel discussion this weekend, ‘Why Natural Materials Matter: Building Healthier, Longer-Lasting Interiors’ at @decorex_international facilitated by Emma Tweedie @campaignforwool and joined by Emma Linney-Taylor @harrison_spinks and interiors Editor & journalist @kerrynharpercuss

The use of natural materials is core to our business. Every piece is meticulously handmade in our Cotswolds workshop using carefully selected natural materials and time honoured upholstery techniques. Beneath the fabric, FSC certified solid timber frames and hand tied coil springs are layered with materials such as British wool, coir, horsehair, feather, down, hessian and natural latex to create exceptional comfort and enduring quality.

There’s something lovely about putting as much thought into a guest bedroom as you would your own. We wanted this one to feel warm, comfortable and considered, with a mix of old and new giving it plenty of character.

The seasonal shift is beginning at home.

As the evenings grow darker, interiors naturally become a little cosier. Softer pools of light, comfortable seating and layers of pattern and colour all come into their own.

We were delighted to partner again with @mulberry_home for the launch of their beautiful new collection, ‘Garden Party’, a collection of decorative fabrics designed to capture the joyful essence of an English summer garden in full bloom.
‌
Our Kingston sofa is seen here upholstered in the collection’s namesake, ‘Garden Party’ which revives a 1920s hand-block print into an opulent floral of hydrangeas and lilies.

The Kingston sofa is the quintessential English country house sofa with restrained low-swept arms that almost disappear behind voluminous pillows of luxurious feather and down.
