~reflections~

It’s been a HARD year. No snow, starting out the season with a bad mental game, and lots of tears.
But.
I did it. I did THAT. I kept with it. I didn’t give up. I kept with the game. I pushed myself to try new things on my snowboard, I forced myself to meet new people and make new friends, and even if I did not get that 1st place finish I was looking for all season, I gained so much more.

I started the season with 485 points. I ended the season with 2,990 points. I didn’t even think I would make it into any 3* or 4* events, but I did. And I didn’t fall. I get down these gnarly venues (with no snow on them) safely and with som sort of style.
This season taught me what GRIT and perseverance are. How to keep my head up even when I feel like I don’t belong. I am so very grateful for the events I had the pleasure of riding in. Hopefully not as many events get cancelled next winter...
I am so very excited to watch my friends duke it out in the Challengers over the next few weeks! by @lorhantiger

Did you know that places like THIS exist in Colorado?

Remember if you’re hiking in this area to stay on trail, the trails just underwent a massive reconstruction following the 2020 canyon fire, and swimming is NOT allowed here. (Neither is walking on the downed log in the lake).
