They maintain themselves in power by use of force combined with propaganda based on primitive ideas of ‘blood’ and ‘race,’ by skillful manipulation of fear and hate, and by false promise of security. Wealthy foreigners buying up BC??? We are losing farm land. And history. And food sustainability "Stan Kroenke, the owner of the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche, as an example of a wealthy American who has bought up B.C. farmland. Since 2003, Kroenke has purchased several historic B.C. ranches, including Alkali Lake, Riske Creek, Gang, and Douglas Lake ranches. Climate Collage with Karen De Paoli. The July 23 Climate Cafe is a fascinating experience led by a trained facilitator to explore the causes of climate change, the results of those causes, and actions that are possible and doable. Engaging and uplifting. This session is an engaging, hands‑on workshop for seniors and anyone curious about the core science behind climate change.
Using the interactive Climate Collage game, participants work together to explore causes, impacts, and solutions in a simple, visual way. By the end, you’ll have a connected table‑top collage that not only explains the climate system but also inspires and empowers you to take meaningful climate action.
