A study in form and movement, Lori Cozen-Geller’s artwork combines sophisticated, minimalistic designs with symbolic meaning. Utilizing geometric shapes obliquely and intuitively, she communicates movement and creates a quiet narrative, revealed through balance, tension, and flow.

Finished in ultra-high-gloss luxury automotive paints, her works possess a luminous depth—drawing from the worlds of Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Maserati to create surfaces as striking as they are sophisticated.

Experience these works and more exhibiting now at Imago.

NEW WORKS

@loricozengeller
Lori Cozen-Geller (Living and working in Venice, CA, b. 1952) is an American artist known for her work as a finish fetish minimalist. Unlike the premise of mid-century minimalism where the artwork itself did not hold meaning, Cozen-Geller’s work is based on complex human emotions depicted in ultra-simplistic forms. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, during the era of minimalism, the bowed and flat roof lines and sleekness of Southern California architecture coupled with the countries obsession with opulent automobiles created the foundation for her artistic style.

Happy International Women’s Day to this incredible community!

Today, we celebrate the power, resilience, and creativity of women artists everywhere. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey— we see you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you.

A Reminder: Supporting women in the arts isn’t just for today or this month-it’s an everyday commitment. Keep amplifying, collecting, and championing their work. The art world is stronger when we all take up space.

Lori Cozen-Geller’s sculptures may appear minimalist, but they tell a personal story. Through cutouts and dynamic forms, each piece plays with positive and negative space, creating a dialogue of emotion and experience. Finished in sleek automotive paint, they invite you to reflect, connect, and see beyond the surface

Happy birthday to my mom, @loricozengeller ! This past year, you TRULY demonstrated that your long lost calling is event planning. Plus, like every other year, you demonstrated the lengths you will go for your kids. I don’t know what I’d do without you! I love you sooooOOO much! by @loricozengeller
