Every weekend or two I hike up here alone. The trailhead starts less than a km from 🏠. This is the first summer since I was in my early 20s I've hiked alone (single track up mountains). It's only an hour or so up... So I sit and contemplate life. Sometimes I cry 😢. Sometimes I dance. Sometimes I forget to be present and I stress about life. Sometimes I intentionally focus on letting it all go. It's a much different experience than hiking with a friend. There's a tonne of value in solace in nature. David Eby confirms that he has his kids in $10/day taxpayer-subsidized daycare.
Approx. only 10% of BC daycare spots offer $10/day daycare. Most families who want in can't get a spot.
As Premier, Eby earns $227k/year. Eby's wife is a doctor. Their household income is likely well over half a million dollars per year.
We don't resent British Columbians who are successful (we want more people to succeed). But where there are wait lists, surely a wealthy family like Eby's shouldn't be taking advantage of $10/day daycare. by @lorinc_dm

Psychology has spent a century finding elegant language for: “Keep ignoring your inner chaos and see what happens.” You can avoid your shadow, but your shadow has excellent attendance. It appears in your triggers, projections, recurring relationships, and suspicious attraction to people who resemble unfinished emotional homework. DRIPA is destroying land rights in BC. Many legal experts have weighed on on it. It does nothing for the indigenous peoples that they couldn't already do in treaty negotiations. The result is because of the massive uncertainty it's created around land ownership, BC is losing industry and investment in the billions. Land rights should be a foundational certainty for citizens. by @lorinc_dm
