Dat 2, of @loriputnamart workshop in Hillsborough, NC. Learned a lot (again) today. The challenge was keeping all light values lighter than all the shadow values. Not for the faint of heart… by @pleinairmag

Cloud Glow, 9x12, oil. I love the feeling of this time of day. So peaceful and quiet and nothing except the occasional sound of a distant coyote. by @pleinairmag

To my Substack subscribers,
For the past three days, I have been arguing with the chatbot at Substack. Unfortunately, that is the necessary step you must take. It began with a simple new phone/mobile app problem. Now, I cannot get in at all. You don’t need all the ugly details, but you do need to know how very sorry I am that I am not able to post at all right now. I have no access to my account, even though I can still see it there! My issue has finally been submitted to a real person. Fingers crossed.
Please know that I am doing all I can and so appreciate your understanding as I get this sorted. @substack by @pleinairmag

Charlie Russell's Legacy Exhibition and Sale is now open for bidding online.
As part of Charlie Russell’s Legacy: Celebrating 100 Years, we’re bringing together approximately 75 works by invited artists who share a connection to the C.M. Russell Museum. The exhibition features artists from the Russell Skull Society, past C.M. Russell Art Award winners, and artists who have previously participated in Art in Action.
Each work will be on display at the C.M. Russell Museum and available for purchase through an online auction. Whether you’re joining us in Great Falls for the Legacy Celebration or participating from home, everyone is welcome to register and bid.
The auction closes at 4 p.m. MST on Saturday, October 10, 2026. With so many incredible works to choose from, we encourage you to register early, start browsing, and keep an eye on your favorites. You can also set a maximum bid and let the system do the watching for you!
Linkin.bio click the Exhibitions button to read more, register, and bid.

My piece, Three Sisters, 9x12, is available with a starting bid of $1300.
