🇪🇸 🐒💛 ¡La familia de titís león dorado vuelve a crecer en Loro Parque!

Nuestros titís han sido padres por segunda vez este año, una gran noticia para una especie que llegó a estar al borde de la extinción.

Originarios de la selva atlántica de Brasil, su recuperación ha sido posible, en parte, gracias a los programas coordinados de conservación y cría.

Ahora, las nuevas crías crecerán rodeadas de toda la familia, ya que los titís león dorado viven en grupos muy unidos en los que todos colaboran en el cuidado de los pequeños. 🌿

🇬🇧 🐒💛 Our golden lion tamarin family is growing again at Loro Parque!

They have become parents for the second time this year, wonderful news for a species that once came close to extinction.

Native to Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, their recovery has been supported by coordinated conservation and breeding programmes.

Now, the new babies will grow up surrounded by their family, as golden lion tamarins live in close-knit groups where everyone helps care for the young. 🌿

🇩🇪 🐒💛 Unsere Familie der Goldenen Löwenäffchen im Loro Parque wächst wieder!

Unsere Tiere sind zum zweiten Mal in diesem Jahr Eltern geworden – eine großartige Nachricht für eine Art, die einst kurz vor dem Aussterben stand.

Die ursprünglich aus dem Atlantischen Regenwald Brasiliens stammende Art konnte sich auch dank koordinierter Schutz- und Zuchtprogramme erholen.

🇪🇸 Su primer vuelo debería llevarlas al mar. Pero la luz artificial puede cambiar su rumbo. 🌙🌊

Durante octubre y noviembre, las jóvenes pardelas cenicientas abandonan sus nidos en Canarias. Un gesto tan sencillo como apagar las luces innecesarias puede evitar que se desorienten y caigan al suelo.

During October and November, young Cory’s shearwaters leave their nests in the Canary Islands. A simple action, such as switching off unnecessary lights, can help prevent them from becoming disorientated and falling to the ground.

Did you know that sloths usually give birth to just one baby at a time? From birth, the youngster clings to its mother’s fur, relying on her for nourishment and protection during its first months of life.

🇪🇸 ¡Hoy Adán cumple 16 años! 🎂🐋

El ojito derecho de nuestro equipo de cuidadores es ya todo un adolescente: curioso, activo y con una personalidad muy especial. Le encanta que le rasquen y mantiene un vínculo muy estrecho con quienes lo cuidan cada día, algo especialmente significativo porque nació aquí, en Loro Parque. 💙

Celebrar su cumpleaños también es celebrar todo lo que hemos podido aprender acompañándolo desde su nacimiento: observar de cerca cómo crece una orca, cómo evoluciona su comportamiento y cómo, poco a poco, encuentra su lugar dentro de un grupo social.

¡Feliz cumpleaños, Adán!

The apple of our keepers’ eye is now a true teenager: curious, active and full of personality. He loves being scratched and has a very close bond with the team that cares for him every day, something especially meaningful because he was born here at Loro Parque. 💙

Celebrating his birthday also means celebrating everything we have learned by accompanying him since birth: observing how an orca grows, how its behaviour develops and how, little by little, it finds its place within a social group.

Happy birthday, Adán! 🎉

Der Liebling unseres Pflegerteams ist inzwischen ein echter Teenager: neugierig, aktiv und mit einer ganz besonderen Persönlichkeit. Er liebt es, gekrault zu werden, und hat eine sehr enge Bindung zu den Menschen, die sich täglich um ihn kümmern – etwas ganz Besonderes, denn Adán wurde hier im Loro Parque geboren. 💙

Seinen Geburtstag zu feiern bedeutet für uns auch, all das zu würdigen, was wir seit seiner Geburt lernen konnten: aus nächster Nähe zu beobachten, wie ein Orca heranwächst, wie sich sein Verhalten entwickelt und wie er nach und nach seinen Platz innerhalb einer sozialen Gruppe findet.

Estamos muy felices de anunciar que, por segunda vez este año, han nacido nuevas capibaras en Loro Parque. 🐾
