I am fortunate to know a wonderful woman, an artist who is one of the kindest and most generous people I've encountered, with such beauty of heart that it shows in everything she makes and in every note she sends. Once when I was grieving the passing of my cat of 18 years, she sent me a carved cat made of tiger eye. She's one of my favorite artists. She makes evocative sculptures and whimsical figurines and someday I am going to have one of her beautiful crystal paintings. Her name is Gigi and she is at @my_crystal_goddess_ This is my one of my fall 2026 treats to myself. by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects

Local followers, look! One of OV's own has been published in a well-read and widely published journal. It's an excellent read. @fraternaloutdoors

This is Persephone, adopted in August. It's been a year since I lost my senior pups, so I have invited a chaos gremlin into the house.

I want to point out the collar she's wearing. The design is "Demeter," which I chose to fit Persephone's name (h/t to mythology). The company, earthdog.com #earthdoglife , makes the softest and yet longest-lasting collars (and other useful products) from hemp. I've been buying from them since around 2011. They donate 10% of proceeds to spay and neuter programs and they also adopt special needs dogs. by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects

I very rarely post anything sports-related, but Giannis Antetokounmpo's answer to a reporter's question about whether he sees this season as "a failure" is *beautiful.* "Every year you work, you work toward something . . . it's steps to success." by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects

Happy Independence Day! Despite anything I think we need to improve, today I celebrate the good of our country and our history. by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects

What song (or soliloquy, or movie monologue) is this kangaroo performing? Leave the lyrics or lines that first come to your mind. 🙂 by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects

Reposting after blacking out the name. The “teacher” is me, explaining (with sources) that hate speech and Nazi flags are protected under 1A, while this person insisted that the Founding Fathers’ intent in 1A was to create a civil and respectful nation and only protects us when we complain non-violently about the government. Was I a “draining” teacher when you were in my class? 😃 Also, my bio still says PA. 🤷🏻‍♀️ by @lorrainesurroundedbyprojects
