Some experiences fill your cup. Others fill your soul. ❤️

Empowered Moms Live did BOTH!

I had the incredible honor of delivering the closing keynote, “Perfect Was Never the Price of Admission,” and I am still trying to find the words to describe what I experienced.

MAGICAL is the first word that comes to mind!

The stories, the vulnerability, the laughter, the tears, and the incredible wisdom shared by every woman who took that stage. But what made this experience unlike any conference I’ve ever attended was the unapologetic presence of FAITH!

Women openly sharing their love for God, speaking about their faith without hesitation, and let me tell you, the Holy Spirit was DEFINITELY in that room! 🙌🏽

I came to pour into others, but I had no idea how much my own soul needed to be in that room.

What a beautiful reminder that sometimes God places us exactly where we need to be, even when we think we’re there for someone else.

My heart is FULL. ❤️

Some things in life get sweeter with time… and Empowered Moms is one of them! 💕

What a beautiful day of connection, celebration, and filling our cups alongside so many incredible warrior women!

I feel so blessed to have participated in this year’s Empowered Moms event in so many meaningful ways, especially sharing our global Daily Self-Love practice with a room full of women who spend so much of their lives pouring into others.

And to my sweet friend Emily… 💗 Thank you for trusting me in so many capacities, for our beautiful friendship and sisterhood, and for continuing to create spaces where women feel seen, celebrated, and supported. Watching you grow, shine, and SHIMMY across that stage brings me so much joy! 💃✨

Seeing familiar faces, celebrating local women-owned businesses, and making new connections reminded me how powerful it is when women come together with intention.

To every mama and warrior woman who joined this remarkable event today, I hope you’ll continue filling your cup with Empowered Moms + knowing how worthy you are ♥️

Another great day in the books!

Yesterday, I started the day walking with team #sandystrong in the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk. It was great to see Sandy Harvey, Anna Grace, Alba M Contreras Rodriguez, and Deborah Young!

Then Clarence J. Black, Brianna Roeder and I went to see our Spartan and take in a game.

It’s not always about standing on a big stage in front of hundreds of people. Sometimes, the moments that fill my cup the most happen in a room with a small group of women or a room full of 5th through 8th grade girls. ❤️

This week, I had the opportunity to do both!

First, a huge thank you to Samantha Keller and Barbara luliani-Fortuna for inviting me to speak with the Women In Agile - Detroit about imposter syndrome. I absolutely loved the authenticity, vulnerability, and honest conversation in that room. THIS is why I love what I do!

Then today, I had the absolute honor of speaking to the 5th through 8th grade girls at Dixon Educational Learning Academy for their International Day of the Girl celebration.

My FAVORITE moment? At the end, I asked the girls, “So, what do we do the next time we're afraid to try something?”

And they shouted back (well, not ALL of them, of course 😂)…

“DO IT ANYWAYS!”

YESSSS! If even a few of those young ladies carry that message with them the next time fear or self-doubt shows up, that's a win in my book!

Thank you, Dr. Regina Hall, for the incredible work you do and for inviting me to be part of such a special day.

Big stages, small rooms, grown women, young girls… the mission remains the same. Interrupt self-doubt and remind people of what's possible.

Somewhere in Detroit tonight, a kid is spending another night in a hospital bed. CATCH Charity for Children exists for that kid. Not for the medicine, the hospitals handle that, but for the things that make a hard day softer: a birthday celebrated on the pediatric floor, a toy, a teen lounge, or the extra things a family needs once they get home that they simply can’t afford. The small comforts that remind a child they are still a child.

Since 1987, we have put nearly $12 million toward exactly that at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital. That is why I said yes to this board.

Our biggest night of the year is coming, and it’s not too late to join us.
