Una mostra sul corpo quando la sofferenza non è visibile o facilmente misurabile.

Attraverso la sua ricerca artistica, Sara Lorusso esplora il rapporto tra malattia, cura e identità, mettendo in discussione l’idea di un corpo che debba essere sano e funzionale per essere creduto.
La vulnerabilità diventa così uno spazio di resistenza, mentre la cura si allontana dalla promessa di guarigione per diventare un modo di abitare la trasformazione del corpo.

Why are disabled women still expected to hide? Following a recent piece in “The Times” questioning the growing online visibility of chronic illness, @loruponyo draws from her personal artistic research to examine the political value of disability aesthetics. Turning a medical device into an aesthetic choice is not frivolity. It is a deliberate act of cultural sabotage. By transforming mobility aids through fashion and design, chronically ill people reject the expectation to hide. Where physical infrastructure fails, digital spaces and domestic environments become powerful political arenas for survival and protest.

It’s already been a month since the launch of this issue of @mulierismagazine “Homeward” at @smallsmallspace in Milan, which featured an exhibition by two of the issue’s photographers, @matriioszka and @strapon_svinopas.
We've already been to London, and we'll be in Paris soon!

For the new issue of @mulierismagazine , Homeward, I wrote a piece and took photos of @lulabroglio , whom I actually met through Mulieris years ago. I went to Biella to the nest of Lula and Francesco @casinet.casinet , and we spent a beautiful day together. Long live the encounters that blossom into friendship.
